I toured Ark Manor. It's good. The staff was friendly, they were very good and caring. It is very clean. The facility is good. One thing is location, I give it a two.

I did an in-person tour of Ark Manor. It was great. I like it because it's small and there were not too many people to talk to. One person knew all the stuff instead of talking to a bunch of people. Everything you needed was there in the room. It's clean, it wasn't fancy, but it will work. The dining room was average; it had tables and chairs, but no glitter, ceramics, chandeliers, or anything. We don't know everything about the place. We went there to check it out, but we didn't go down to the nitty gritty because of the virus, so it's hard to tell how it is exactly.

I was at Ark Manor, and they needed a lot of work. The food was bad, the maintenance was bad, and the staff, not all of them, but didn't show enough respect for the elderly. It's a beautiful building, they just don't take care of it. They have a nice, large recreation room and dining area. There were about four of the regulars who do a good job, take care, and do what they specially do for the elderly. They seemed to turn over staff a lot. It's a shame because the building is well constructed, they have a maintenance guy that knows absolutely nothing about maintenance.

Ark Manor is really good. It's a peaceful place. Everything is fine. My mother's room is nice. The food is good, and the location is nice. It's right inside a community. They can sit and watch the kids ride their bikes. It's nice, clean, well organized, and well maintained. They have a lot of good activities. It's well worth it.

My father has been at Ark Manor since the March. I liked their coordinator. She’s very helpful, very friendly, and answers all your questions. I liked where the place is located, that it’s a 70-bed unit, and the overall atmosphere of it. Somebody comes in with pets on a Monday, they have big church gatherings, family nights, movie nights, and I think they have cookouts in the summertime. The dining area is open, airy, and a restaurant setting.

Ark Manor looked like an older place. My first impression was that the people there needed a lot more care than I needed. It was clean and homey, but seemed more like a nursing home rather than assisted living. The person who accommodated us was Jennifer, and she was good. The place is like a big square with a space in the middle where the residents could go outside.
