I got my mom into an income-based, independent living apartment complex. It is pretty nice, so we're all good. It's called Park View at Naaman's Creek. They have a community room where they have movie evenings and sometimes guests, but not right now. I think they're going to restart that in late March because they have shut that down. They have laundry on the first floor. There are trash chutes on every floor, so it is easy for you to go and empty your trash, and then there's a game/community room, a little library area, and a computer room as well. There are no dining services, so you cook for yourself. It's very nice. The staff is attentive. If you have an issue, you can call them, and they get right back to you. They have an in-house hairdresser so you can go and get your haircut and a little wash, and I believe they have a nurse who comes in here and there.

Park View - Naaman's Creek is very lovely. It's not very fancy outside, but the apartments are very nice, and it's only $799 so it's very reasonable. The staff is very pleasant, and the manager is very nice. It's pretty much independent, and they have independent living.

Park View was right on the street were my mom lived and probably one of the first ones we went to. It was very nice, but all it really had were apartments. They didn't really offer much at all, but there was a podiatrist that came three time a week and I thought they had a hairdresser. The sales lady was very nice and we spoke to a lady that lived there for like 16 years and she loved it. They do offered rides to the store and stuff like that but it was just basically an apartment that you would rent. I thought it was cheap and only about $700 to $800 a month. They had like a community/living room when you walked in there and little dining area, but I don't remember if they offered meals. However, I thought it offered alert button that you wear around your neck and there was always a maintenance man around, but I don't think there was a nurse in the facility at all time. It was probably a good place to go if you had a limited income.
