I am/was a resident of this facility

Spring Meadows is a very nice facility. The staff is very kind. They're very willing to help you and the food is good here. It's like home living. I'm not able to partake in a lot of the activities, but they have a lot of things for the ones that are here and they all enjoy it. They have a lot of activities in the dining room. They also have a library and an activity room where there are puzzles, books, and all kinds of things like that. My room is a studio apartment. It's very cheerful. When I look out the window, it's very nice. It has flowers.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is at Spring Meadows. On the weekends, there's no one there. It's very sad on the weekends. The nurse is really good. The ones that helped us move in there in the first place weren't direct. They weren't well informed. They have trouble keeping help there, too, so that's a big deal. From what I see, the food was not very good, but they lost their chef and now they have their maintenance person cooking, so it's not so good. I've not personally tried it. They have a bunch of COVID cases now, so we're all laying low for a week or two. I thought maybe Mom was exaggerating, but she's not. She said they would leave the food on the floor for the people that don't answer the door, and I said, well, that can't be true. But then I started watching and yes, the food was on the floor outside of a room untouched, and I thought that's not sanitary. And number two, who could pick that up off the floor? I couldn't, let alone a senior person. It's a very beautiful facility. The facility itself is very nice. The employees working there seem very nice, but I think they're understaffed. It's one level and very nice that way. The gardens are nice. They seem to have activities. I've seen them playing cornhole, and that's about all I've seen so far. And they do take them out on lunch trips with the bus, which is nice.

I visited this facility

Spring Meadows Assisted Living Community was a 2-story home (a big home). The clientele there was really well-versed. They were very kind and very friendly. They were probably pretty identical to the one we chose for mom. It seemed like they have about the same thing. It was a little bit bigger, and I think they had more people living there. I don't think they have a nurse on staff. They have a snack bar that's open 24 hours a day, but they just serve 1 meal. It was clean. It was nice, and it was wonderful. Everything looked great. The studio apartment buildings here looked very similar to the other place. The staff that we talked to were excellent. The building itself is a lot older than the one we're putting her in. Spring Meadows has been here a lot longer, but it was very clean and well-kept. I was pleased with it and so is my mom.

They are so gracious and kind to my mom. Newer building with an open spacious architecture. The last time I went and had lunch with my mom they had "Masala Beef," like a braised beef tips with 1/2 cooked vegetables. The time before that we were served an expensive home cooked seafood lunch that even 5 star restaurants could rival. My mom eats better than me. My family was so glad to have found this place for my mom.

Spring Meadow Assisted Living is really convenient. It is around five miles from where I am, and that is one of the big factors as to why I chose it for my husband. It is also small. There are only like three residents in it. It is excellent. They have their own studio room with their own bath. They have a nice dining area. It is a really nice facility. I will definitely recommend it to others. I never find anything negative with them. They have a social director, and they do activities. They have exercise every morning. They do bingo. They do music and have people come in a couple of times a month to either play guitar, piano, organ, or some type of light music. They also have ice cream socials, cooking, baking, and those types of things. For a small community, they do very well.
