"My friend had stayed in Redwood Cove for two weeks. It was understaffed. There were no phones and we couldn't get in touch with the persons. There weren't enough precautions taken because my friend and five other people got food poisoned there. It was terrible and there were instances that people were falling off their beds. However, they do work on the physical therapy. But they need more staff that was trained. They need activities and improve on their cleanliness. "

"My mother was in Ukiah Post Acute before, and I really liked it. She went there for rehabilitation, but they're really so friendly. They smile, and they talk to everybody. They're helpful. They have a game room, and they play bingo and different things. Some kids come in and play guitar and cards with the people. They play music on TV. They have a movie night. They're really active. They have an outdoor patio. The staff was super nice. They remember my mom's name. It's like a big family. They have a cook there, and they make food every day. She liked the food. They keep everything clean."

"I did an unscheduled visit. The facility was free of major odors and clean. I was greeted by staff. Everyone was friendly and courteous. I was given a quick tour, mind you that no-one knew I was coming, and everything was clean and tidy. You could tell the people that stayed there were taken care of. There was a "store" happening that several residents were excited to get to. It was explained to me that they played BINGO throughout the week and could spend their "Bingo Bucks" at this store. "

This facility is the best that we in this community have to choose from. Bob has stayed at another facility in the county and this place is much better. The nurses are not overworked and frazzled, the food is good and I really like the rehab staff. Everybody has their own TV and the sliding doors opening up the outside are charming. I felt good about leaving him there. "
