We toured the Terrace, which is assisted living only. I had no problems with it at all, but my sister wasn't happy with it. In her opinion, it was too much like an old folks' home, which it wasn't. I thought it was fine. The residents seemed very happy and the staff were all very pleasant, friendly, willing to answer your questions, and show you things. It was clean. The room we looked at was clean. They only have studio apartments, so they were small, but they don't have kitchens or kitchenettes or anything. It's just a studio apartment, a bedroom with your private bathroom, and area for a closet, a place for your dresser wardrobe, and a place for a small table or chairs and stuff like that. They had just done a remodel on it, so it was much more open and light, the windows and stuff like that.

The Terrace was a smaller facility. It's one floor, so it will work easier for my mom to get to the dining room and activities from her room. The facility looked good. The nurse's station is right beside the room. The rooms were furnished. They have crafts, bingo, church, music, and entertainment. The dining area looked very pleasant. They had patios that they could go out to in the summer.
