My mother was at Anson Health And Rehabilitation for three weeks. There were so many good things about it. The rooms were nice and clean. The nurses were familiar with everybody. They were just right there. They knew everybody by name and they socialized. Their food was good, too. My mama wasn't eating, and when she got there, the food was so good, she was eating. The staff was wonderful. On the first day she was there, she had meatloaf and potatoes. They had a dessert and she tore it up and she hadn't eaten like that in a long time. It's very clean and spotless. It's also newly remodeled. There's nothing I can say bad about them. The rooms were nice sized. They had their own bathrooms in their room. They got a newsletter and they did socials. They had something called Pretty Nails where all the ladies get together and do pretty nails. On Sundays, they had church come in. They did holiday dress decorations. They celebrated Veterans' Day. All the rooms had TVs in them. We met a resident there before I even decided, one of them was a schoolteacher of 30 years and she went in for rehabilitation there, and she decided to stay because she liked it so much. There was a lady staying there and she worked there first. Then when it was time for her to be in a nursing home, she chose them because she knew them. They had a smoking area but also had a couple of gardens in the center of the building with red roses and flower gardens. My mom loved that with the birds and the flowers.
