Everything's very nice at Salemhaven. The people were very nice. The building was nice. The facility was nice. The only lousy thing was parking wasn't big enough. Other than that, it had a fancy dining room, nice rooms, a nice foyer, and security. I didn't meet as many people in that one as I did in the other place, but the ones that I did were very friendly and very helpful when I ask questions. They were very nice to say, "If you don't need it now, keep us in mind when you do." The room I saw was a little smaller, but it was nice. It had a kitchenette, but it didn't have a stove or anything.

I have an Adult brother who is handicapped and he goes to Silverthorne twice a week. I like the fact that there is structure and socialization for him as well as meals and nursing care provided. They do "field trips" also which he loves. The best part is the staff - they are very caring and attentive to each person as an individual and the care is great. Best of all is that My brother loves to go. Now I am trying to get my father-in-law to go for the socialization that he needs instead of sitting around home all day bored and lonely.
