    I visited this facility

I noticed while visiting the shortage of help. The patients strapped in thier chair I also checked about incontinance bladder and kidney problems. How can they control anything when they are reduced to this type of care snd what kind of patients will sit upon hours without being medicated and what does this medication do to thier kidneys The hairs look hard,Where is the activity and people need to really check out the care.A large place how many workers?

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My father-in-law was a resident of this facility. This was the first nursing home he was a resident of after his lungs had filled with blood clots. He would also be treated as an Alzheimers patient. The staff at Manor Care was alright. They were kind and courteous, and always ready to help when we were there. But there were times that we would visit unexpectedly and find problems that we should have never had the chance to find. Once we would bring it to their attention, they would be quick to address the situation, and/or clean up the mess. Eventually, they became convinced that he needed to be moved into their new alzheimers unit, and they did so without letting us know that they were doing it. It wasn't long after, however, that they did call us to say that they had an incident. After investigating the situation for ourselves we found that they did not act, in any way, as a trained facility should have acted. We made the decision to have him moved as soon as possible, due to the facts that we felt, they were not ready to handle his diagnosis in a suitable and safe way. I would not recommend this facility for an Alzheimer patient, but have heard rave reviews concerning other areas in their services.
