My mom moved to Newbridge Retirement Community. She is so happy to have so many activities to do every day and other people to talk to. They have an exercise class there that she loves to do and then crafts throughout the day. The food is excellent. She hasn't complained about a single thing. The staff was wonderful. They all know her by name and stop and talk to her. They've been good to me, and I can't say a single thing that I don't like about it. At 9:45 in the morning, they have an exercise class every day, and then at 10:45, they have some kind of craft. Then after that, they do things like a book club, a gardening club, or a walking club. Then they have a choir after that, and then they have a social hour, which is at the pub upstairs. All the residents can get two drinks if they'd like included. They do outings. They take them out to Walmart or Dollar Tree, and it's just wonderful.

Newbridge Properties is the newest senior living facility in Cape Girardeau, Missouri - Newbridge Retirement Community. The 75,000-square-foot facility, located at 1205 South Mount Auburn Rd. in Cape Girardeau, at the intersection of South Mount Auburn and Kingshighway, will provide assisted living and memory care for seniors. The resort-style retirement community will total 83 apartments with 47 Assisted Living private apartments and 36 Special Care private apartments that are designed for memory care residents diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
The Memory Care portion of the building will include two households designed to empower each resident to function at his or her highest and best potential. Both households will engage residents in meaningful activities adaptive to their cognitive and physical ability level. Each household will have its own private dining, kitchen, nursing station, and common living spaces.
