"They had people sharing rooms, like two people in a room. It was a three story building, they had an elevator going up and two floors had the patients' rooms and a nurses' station. The top floor was like a recreational room where you can play cards. You could talk to the residents there and they seem to be enjoying games. The patients are enjoying each other's company. The staff there were very, very nice. They had a church service going on when I was there and it seemed like there's a nice community feeling. If there's something that a potential resident likes to do, they make sure they would have activities in their interest. They seem like they're really engaging the people and getting them involved in things. I would recommend this to others. "

"We have chosen Vista Springs Washington for my mother, the first point being that it was close to one of our family members. It's close to my sister, within five or ten minutes of her house. Also, the fact that there are only 40 residents, and the ratio of staff per resident was higher than at the other facilities in which they have the same amount of staff for nearly twice the number of residents. So, that was impressive. The staff was very kind, very concerned, and willing to adjust to my mother's needs. My mother had radiation treatments so she doesn't really have much taste, but the food seems to be well prepared. They have a chef there that will make basically whatever she wants. They have a special for the day, but then if she wants something else they said they have no issue making that for her, and they've accommodated whatever she's wanted. They have studio rooms that have two different sizes, there's a small suite and a large suite, both have private baths. They also have a couple of rooms that are joined so if you have people who want to share or a person who wanted a larger room with more space, they could accommodate that with the adjoined rooms. It was very clean, all hardwood floors with no carpeting. It's a newer facility, it has only been open for a couple of years. It kind of speaks for itself. They could provide all the furniture or my mom could bring her own furniture. They have no issues with her hanging her pictures on the wall too and making it homey for her. Currently, because of the COVID thing, they don't do much outside of the rooms, but they have a closed circuit TV that's in their rooms, they have bingo, they have movies, and Halloween parties. They had the local school come and do a parade in their Halloween costumes. When the weather is decent, all the residents pile up in a van and they go for a drive to get them outside a little bit to see other things. They don't go in anywhere but they, at least, get out and get to see things. They have seated chair exercises and they have a walking contest right now where they get out and do laps around the building. They do some arts and crafts activities, they paint pumpkins, they have made recipe books, they have made coasters, and they have made vases. They go around and they have this mobile spa and they do manicures for the residents. They do religious services on Sundays and they have singalongs. They played Jeopardy one evening. Also, because they're a small facility, they only have 20 rooms on the assisted living side and 20 rooms on the memory care side, they would have the residents sit in their doorways and they do some games and singalongs with the activity director in the halls."

"My friend is a resident of The Bells Assisted Living. The care is excellent. The place and the apartments are beautiful. Any situation that needs attention is dealt with quickly. Somebody comes in and cleans for him. He is in a small one-bedroom. The bathroom is great because of the accessibility to the shower. It is a very comfortable place. They have a library, but if you get set up so that if you want to be alone, you can be alone. If you seek company, you can go down to the common room. They have different activities going on, card playing, and puzzles."

"I toured Meadows Assisted Living and Care Campus. The structure of the building seemed pretty good. In memory care, the rooms are small. The bathroom is probably a third of the room. Each room has a small bed, a recliner, and a little dresser. The dining area is a big open room. They have a TV-watching room, and their couches are in one big area that connects to the dining room, which is also where they play some games in the afternoon."

"I will move into St. Clair Landings Apartments this week. The facility was very nice and pleasant. They had one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. The staff was kind and adequate."

"The tour with Sandalwood Creek was great. The people there were nice. Right now, there are only twelve residents there. The staff was very good. Her office was a mess, and she says she does some cooking and stuff like that, so it's more of a home atmosphere, with the people that are there. They have more buildings, but they have them shut down because of COVID, they said. It's very clean, the place was spotless. They have a kitchen facility, if it's a shared apartment they have a bathroom and a shower, and that's what I was looking for. They have some games, but the only game I saw was the puzzle sitting on a table. They said they do things outside. They said that they can take them out during the day, but they cannot leave the building. The only part I did not like was that they are locked in full-time. You have to be let out and they don't let the patients out unless they're going with somebody."

"The care that Marwood Manor Nursing Home provides is good. They seem to be taking pretty good care of my wife. They have shared rooms, but she's in a room by herself because they'd like to keep people like that so they don't pass any infections on to someone else. The therapists are good. I've had experience with them myself 9 months ago and they were also very good. The staff has always been positive. I like them. The food is pretty good. Once in a while, you get something that you don't like, but the majority of the time, the it is good, especially breakfasts. It's a pretty good place and I'd certainly recommend them. The central court area is beautiful that it makes you feel better when you go by and look at it in the windows. The maintenance is good. The young girls that help you with things like bring you your lunch, breakfast, and dinner and help you with the showers and things like that are very good and very kind. They have always been nice and courteous. There was only one time that I had trouble with one staff member. I told the nurse about it and it was immediately taken care of. So, they were prompt, good, and fair."

"My mother was at Hidden Lakes Senior Living. It was 5 stars all around. It's a residential home with only five residents. I was extremely happy about the entire experience. The feel, the people, and everything was perfect. She wasn't there long enough though. She was only there 10 days, and she passed away. I know that the residents do activities, but my mom did not participate. She wasn't feeling well enough to do that. I know that they play games, and they have birthday parties. She was not able to eat as well, but I know they have a cook that comes in and does the cooking. In my experience, the residents that were there seemed very happy with it. Everyone seemed very pleased with the cook's food."

"I chose River's Edge Assisted Living - South for my friend because of its location. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I like that my friend can watch the ships go by on the river and it's close so everybody can visit him. It's fine. I haven't noticed anything bad. They have a staffing problem, but they seem to have fixed that. They seem very willing to work with me on whatever is needed. The facilities are adequate. It's near hospitals and restaurants."

"My mother is in North Port. It is a 15-story building in an old complex. All of the units are old and pretty small at about 600 square feet. There are lots of activities posted around the complex. They seem to have satisfactory services and facilities. They don't have regular meals, but each unit has its own little kitchen. They have social events where they show movies, play games, have a billiards table, and do potlucks for holidays. "
