We toured Sycamore House Senior Living. That was the first one we ever went to. It's a high school that's been converted to a senior living apartment. The apartments were very big and spacious with high ceilings. The people living there appeared to be very friendly. The building was very well kept. The management was very friendly and informative. Instead of having us fill out an application, she asked us questions, and she filled in the answers on the application itself. She was very helpful. They had one- and two-bedroom apartments, and everything looked new. They have activities, but if you're looking for amenities such as the swimming pool or shuffleboard or something like that, they didn't have that. I think they had an elevator, but I'm not sure if they had any amenities. It was a little expensive for my budget. It was like $975 for a two-bedroom. If we figured my daughter's income and mine, it would put us out of the income bracket they needed. We just didn't fit the income bracket after we did the application. It was a beautiful place. The people were friendly. Management was great. It was just a little out of my price range.
