"My mother moved into long-term care at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne. She had been here for rehab before, she liked the nursing staff, and she felt very at home here. The staff is very caring and they're very quick to help. The food is good, but it lacks variety. There are multiple things to do every day. They have bingo, exercise, chair yoga, and every day, they have some kind of a speaker or a presenter. They have different gathering rooms. If you have a lot of people, you can have them in a room for visiting. They have a bistro where you can get food any time of the day. I feel like it's worth the money, and she feels very safe here."

"The staff members at Cedarhurst on Maysville Road were so kind, thoughtful, and loving to my dad during his 18 month stay there. They went above and beyond to make sure he had the best of care. He benefited from the physical therapy offered in the building, he enjoyed the activities provided, and built wonderful relationships. It’s not only a beautiful building, it’s filled with people who have a heart for the people who live there."

"I'm very happy with it. They have an excellent activity director who keeps them as busy as she possibly can. My sister-in-law's studio is very nice and spacious enough for her. Their menu is pretty varied, and they have two menus that they can choose from -- one for specials for each meal and a restaurant-type menu with other things they can choose from if they don't like what the daily menu is -- so they have a lot of choices. The food is good, and they try to accommodate what everybody wants. One of the main things I like is that they can transition from assisted living, to memory care, to nursing home, more or less in the same building, so they have all three in the same area. "

"We found Byron Health Center for my sister. We chose them because they cater more with the issues she has, which are mental issues. The staff seems to be nice and friendly. The facilities are very old, but very clean. I know she goes to group therapies. "

"I like Lutheran Life Villages, but at the time I visited, they couldn't accept my grandmother. What I like most about this community is that they seemed really into the residents. The setup seemed really good. My grandmother would have really liked it. The atmosphere in the assisted living's dining room was gorgeous. The rooms were really nice. Also, they said they take bus trips to different places. "

"There is no better place than this. It is like the Grand Hotel, very tastefully decorated, peaceful and serene. Like having your own apartment but still being able to go wherever you want inside the facility. My Dad was in there for a long time - until he was yanked out (by 2 family members behind everyone's back) and thrown in the worst hellhole in Bryan. If a room becomes available, grab it. It's definitely where I would want to go. "

It appeared very family- and community-oriented, and there was an enthusiasm for welcoming another resident. I like the layout. It is an older facility, and they are maintaining as well as they can; it likely needs some updating."
