"We toured Chapman Manor. It was a beautiful place. My dad and his wife like it. The people were very kind. It was a very nice place. They have a church service there. They have a karaoke night, they have bingo and a puzzle area. The staff was very nice. We had lunch with them."

It is so small, but the bathroom is perfect. The little kitchen is also perfect. The place is nice and the price is good. The staff is very friendly, and they explained everything very nicely. Everybody was nice there. The girl was very sweet, and she explained everything correctly. The building is beautiful. It's near the trees. It has a beautiful garden outside, and people can stay outside. It's nice. It has many amenities there. We love the place."

"I went to Brookdale Northdale for my mother. It was very, very nice. The furnishings and décor was very nice. It looked maybe either newly remodeled or newly made. The staff seemed professional. The value for the money was OK. "

"Arden Courts of Tampa is close to my home. I'm only using it for respite so it would be easy for me to go back and forth. I liked the setup and the way it was arranged. I liked the staff; the marketing person stopped by the house to see us and meet my husband. They said I could bring him in on certain days so he could get familiar with the place, which is good. They have a menu, but the clients have the option to have something else. They have socials, like ice cream socials and coffee socials. The staff was very friendly and open to considering my questions. Their facility is broken into different units with individual rooms for social gatherings. "

"My mother will be moving into Angels Senior Living at New Tampa memory care unit. So far, so good. We have to move our own furniture in, but the room was clean and the size was good for us. The staff was nice, and they have good service. They have activities, but very simple ones. They have everything inside. They're pretty new."

"I visited Belvedere Commons. It was a nice place; it was a little smaller than we expected, but the staff was very nice. It was a little too expensive for my aunt, but I would recommend it for those who can afford it. "

"Seacoast at Uptown Oaks was clean. It was an old place. There were a lot of people out and about socializing. There were no activities when we were there, but it was kind of close to lunchtime. It was nice. They had a nice smoking area and an enclosed area. They couldn't wander off. Their facilities were nice. The people were extremely friendly. The staff who gave the tour was a salesman. He was a nice guy. It was an older place, so it wasn't bright and sunny like a lot of the newer places. It was three stories, which was not what I was looking for. Nevertheless, the people there were not the golf course set, but they were just regular people. They had good-looking food, and it was restaurant-style. They had a library. They would take our cats. They had private studios. There was some construction, so we didn't get to see everything. The staff all knew the residents' names. The dining room was clean and attractive. They provided three meals a day. They had a lot of nice activities there. "

"This is where I would want my mom to stay. It's a 5-star across the board. The only thing I didn't like was the size of the rooms for a person because it was more like a hotel. They're very clean. They had a fine dining area like a five-star hotel. They had security for the memory unit. It didn't feel like a nursing home setting. The person who showed me and gave me information was just phenomenal. She knew exactly what she was doing and how to interact with the person that was interested. I checked their dining area, but I didn't try their food. They did go over the type of food that they had. They have a menu. They don't give one thing out and say you have to eat it. It was like fine dining. They could choose what they wanted to eat."

"Promise Pointe Senior Living was a good place. They had the dining, the housekeeping, and everything, but they were a little expensive. I liked the apartment they showed me. They had good activities. It was really nice."

"We went to Sunflower Springs. I liked the newness and the cleanliness. I liked the fact that the staff and everybody seemed to like everybody, including the residents. I didn't like the fact that they had no pool or stove. The rest of it was nice, but it was on the high end of very expensive. The tour was great. They have a theater, and they have an ice cream parlor. They have arts and crafts."

"My mom moved into Elevated Estates of New Port Richey. We chose them because they had a better dining room, areas where the residents could go outside, and more residents on the same level as my mother. Her apartment is very small and within the price range. Every time I go in there, somebody's cleaning. They speak a lot of Spanish, which my mother is going crazy about because when they talk to each other, it's always Spanish, and then it's very broken English, so that's difficult."

"My mom has moved into Brookdale New Port Richey. The people are very patient and answered my questions. They're helpful all the way around. The staff there is nice. It was an easy move because I had to move furniture and stuff in, and they helped out with dollies or things like that, so that was a very good transition. My mom's room is a decent-sized room with a nice bathroom. I was able to fit a queen-sized bed. I didn't try their food, but I can say they can accommodate her because she is a vegetarian. The dining area is clean. Nurses are always there to assist and help out the patients. They are doing activities as far as having them watch a movie, and then they would ask them questions and recap. They are also doing some arts and crafts."
