Rooms are minimal, beds are not inspected and squeak. Floors are minimally kept up as is repairs in rooms, Use of surgical glove to stop up hole in ceiling around fire sprinkler head. DON is hard to deal with. Administrator is invisible. House Doctor is rarely seen. CNA's are not adequately trained. Use of cell phones is rampant, even when dispersing medicines or taking care of residents. Not much attempt to do anything extra for residents. Allow them to suffer in pain and do not turn them if needed.

The staff at Lexington House were all friendly and accommodating. The manager was very helpful. She explained everything in detail and had immediate answers to each of my questions. Overall, it was a good experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There's easy access to the restroom inside the room. The dining hall had a regular menu that they served every day, but they also had a cafe where if you didn't feel like what was on the tray, you could go up and order a hamburger, a pizza or a salad there. The facility was very well-kept. When we drove up, they had new flowers in the flower beds. They had just redone those and it was just a pleasant atmosphere.

The facility is in need of some major updates. Starting with cleaning and simple, kind , verbiage to the residents and family. When I and others who visit our loved ones., It is truly disheartening. Patients are NOT receiving anything resembling home. ( not including names for fear of retribution to patient. ) The patient I am concerned about was saturated in Urine. Urine that had been there till it turned brown. Not the first time, this has happened. The staff isn’t laying In the bed in urine and feces— yet!! But the ones who are there for just the job, not the awesomeness , of caring for the ones who nurtured and cared for this generation. Shame on you!!!! You will be in this position too one day. Laying in urine and feces— no one will come— because, God will remember. To care for those that gave us the best of themselves, is a honor. They deserve better, than to lay in pain for days, just because this facility denies them medical care even when they scream. Members of staff has the mindset they are providing a social, do good service. It is your J-O-B!!! You already have every cent they will ever draw. I , for one will be calling the state services. There are so many more deficits. I will present those concerns to the state resources. This institution needs to literately CLEAN HOUSE!

The Lexington House is beautiful. It has a nice inside. The pricing is okay. I wish the rooms were bigger. The sizing is still alright. One day I was coming to visit my father and I saw one of the nurses outside smoking. Not that anything is wrong with that. My problem with that is I don't want them coming inside smelling like smoke around the elderly. They could be more discreet about it instead of smoking right in front of the building for all to see. The place inside is clean it doesn't stink there always cleaning every time I go, which is good. The men and female live in separate parts. They do get together for events and activities they do. I was referred there by another friend who loves it there for her mother. She has never had a problem with The Lexington House and neither have I.
