"We toured the Fields of Florence. The rooms that we were shown were just like a bedroom, that's it. There was a locked hallway where all these patients were. A lot of them tried to get out, or two or three were trying to get out, but of course, they didn't let them out. They can't wander around the facility. It was nice, airy, and clean. They have a beautiful patio area for the residents to use. It's convenient to where we live, easy to get to, and has very nice grounds. The person who gave the tour was excellent. The dining area was nice and clean."

"Stay away from this facility! Staff is lazy, untrained and uncaring. Residents hygiene is not attended to, laundry is rarely done and any request is ignored. Staff is not responsive and is full of excuses. I am very frustrated with this facility."

It was comforting to see that all the residents looked happy and enjoying themselves. You can tell the staff here go above and beyond to make this community as much like home for their residents as possible. I highly recommend checking this community out. "We toured Ivy Knoll Senior Living. It was above my sister's price range. They were very accommodating because they were willing to match the other facility, but it was too far away from my niece. The rooms in Ivy Knoll were a lot larger than the other facility. We even looked at a studio, and the studio was very nice. The accommodations there would be perfect for her, but it was just the location."

"The staff is superb. They are very caring, always pleasant, and work extremely hard to offer help when we need it--really more like family than staff. There is a wide range of well-planned apartment sizes and options. The food is, of course, institutional, but very good and includes something for everyone. Beautiful grounds, nice places to relax outside with friends when weather permits. Exercise facilities, lots of varied activities, small beauty shop, etc. A very friendly community."

"I toured The Village at Eastgate. What I liked best was the staff and the cleanliness of the facilities. It was very clean and nice, and they took a lot of pride in making sure the apartments were ready for move-in. They had a senior workout facility and storage. Everybody had storage in the basement. They had a place for their dining restaurant area. They had the travelling to take them shopping, weekly concerts, church, Bible study, and movie nights. The activities that they offered were phenomenal. The menu was very diverse. There were a lot of options, and you didn't have to have the same thing every day. It was like going to a restaurant. You could pick whatever you wanted to eat, and then they would make sure that you had that."

"Covington Ladies Home is small and personalized. It's been a lady's home for 125 years. It's a big old mansion, but it's very well kept and updated. It's beautiful and they keep it very clean. The staff is very caring and that's the most important thing. My mom has been there for almost five weeks now. She loves the food. The staff everyone I've dealt with is very friendly and on top of things. They call me for every little thing. The only drawback for a 125-year old building is there are no individual toilets in each room. There are sinks, vanity mirror, but you have to go two doors down for a toilet and shower. I thought that doesn't really bother her or me much. But it would be great if they could get modernized and put in bathrooms in each room. "

"My husband is admitted to Optimized Senior Living Newtown. It's small. It only has 8 to 10 people, so that makes for better care, and I feel comfortable with that. It's in a home setting. It's not like a nursing home. The staff is excellent. My husband eats everything. They serve home-cooked meals. They played bingo and they had an Olympic day. So, I think their activities are good."

"River Valley was good and clean. The people there seemed to be very caring and attentive. My grandmother lived there and did not complain, so I guess the food was OK. They had space for private rooms, which was really important. "

"The Seasons at Alexandria was fantastic. The accommodations were all very, very nice. It's a beautiful place. If a person is admitted there and they get to the point in their health where they needed more care, that's available there, which is good. They seemed to be pretty flexible as far as meeting the needs of their residents. The facility looked nice and clean. The room seemed adequate and the layout seemed reasonable. The cost was just too much for us."

"Sunrise Manor In Amelia, Ohio is a great assisted Living Facility. My Grandmother has spent many years there. There are many great activities for the residents to attend. They can play bingo, games, and fun brain quizzes. It keeps them active and excited for the next day. Family members are more than welcome at any time of the day. The staff are all very friendly and caring towards family and the residents. Staff members are willing to do anything to keep all the residents. They take residents for walks through the facility and assist them in everyday activities. The facility is very well organized and clean. Their is a very elegant dining room with seats for all the residents. The food is good so that's a added bonus. Overall the resident are very comfortable and happy in the environment they are in. I would recommend this assited living facility to anyone interested. "

"I have been so impressed with the dedicated staff at Sunrise. As is the case with just about and care home in Cincinnati; they are short staffed. They made my cousin feel as if he was the only one who mattered when they were working with him. The physical therapists went way above the call to help my cousin; including helping him obtain a drivers license renewal. The nurses were very kind to him and genuinely cared about his wellbeing. The room was adequate, but dated; and this was reflected in the more reasonable price."

"My aunt has moved into Siena Gardens Rehabilitation & Transitional Care. They are very nice and very polite. It is a clean and very nice-looking facility. It is very homey, and it's almost like her own home. She's in her own room and she has a beautiful bathroom. It's all upgraded and everything is wonderful. They treat her like she's their own relative. The staff is overwhelmingly helpful. When we first got there, she was quite confused and they just played along and helped her. They were overly helpful. They cut up her food and they're just very doting on her. They'll run down the hallway and peek in and talk to her. They're just very helpful, kind, and considerate people. I'm very happy with this place. This is the nicest one I've ever seen, and it doesn't smell. I was there when she had all of her meals and I've tried them. I don't know who's cooking, but the chicken meals that they make are awesome. My aunt loves her fish. She said they fry it perfectly. It is well- balanced and it's fulfilling. They have different types of activities with the residents. They did something with a banana split. They did movies and they played bingo. With the community this past Thursday, the residents dressed up, went outside, and did a trunk-or-treat with the kids in the neighborhood. The residents got to see all the kids dressed up, and my aunt just thought that was the greatest thing in the world. And they did it during the day so they could see them."
