"The resident rooms are spacious, very nice wall & carpet colors. The whole facility is well maintained, new & tastefully decorated for a comfortable environment. The staff are qualified, friendly & helpful. Residents have art class & bingo, church services & other games, more activities are coming & monthly fun themes that are celebrated. The residents are well cared for, hospice is allowed, it is a safe serene environment. My dad received hospice care thru a separate organization that came in. Caregivers are very compassionate & knowledgeable. The Director helps with any concerns we have & resolves them."

"I'm going to Quail Ridge Villas. I went there last year, and I was there again today. I liked the complete setup; it's very new and very nicely decorated. They have a lot of amenities. I can use the swimming pool and recreation equipment, I can have my own garden, and it's the kind of community where I like to be. It's out in the country and it's what I'm used to, and that's very important to me. They have different kinds of living arrangements, all independent. Some of them are villas and some are separate, two-bedroom apartments with an attached garage. They have a high-rise, senior-living complex, they have two-to-three-bedroom homes that you can rent, and it's all laid out in a beautiful place."

"My brother is at Majestic Care of West Allen and they're very good at communicating and letting me know anything that goes on there when I can't get there because I have two daughters and we all work full time. So, it's a once-a-week visit type thing. His room is very nice. The food is good. He is putting on weight, which is what he needs to do, and that's one of their goals. The facility is still new. The people are good there."

"We take my mother to Lutheran Life Village Birchwood two times a week, which is private pay and we're very well pleased with them. They're a very good organization here in Allen County. They got four different facilities around the area and this facility specializes in dementia and Alzheimer's condition. Overall, we are very well pleased. It is only two years old and they offer daycare from 6:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon, and every other Saturday. They offer lunch meal and bathing services for the visitors, which is primarily why we bring our mother there. I don't have the facilities to give a handicapped person a bath here in my house, and her home is in need of repair. We take her there for bathing purposes and socialization, and a little time away from my house, which gives me a little break also. Overall, everything is in A+ condition. I'm very well satisfied. "

"Upon driving into Timbercrest, one can't help be struck by the beauty and simplicity of the facility. Regardless of the season, the grounds are well-manicured and very well-taken care of. In the winter, there is never any ice or snow obstructing the walks; in the spring and summer, there are always flowers and planters placed everywhere. Although I have never had any prolonged contact with the staff, the facility always seems very-well staffed, and the receptionists on duty are always very friendly and eager to help. In fact, every employee that I pass by on trips in and out of the various corridors are always quick to say hello and ask me if there is anything I need.I think what impresses me most about Timbercrest is the facilities and amenities offered for residents. There is a large kitchen area that is available for residents to use for family reunions or other gatherings. In this area, there are also dart boards and pool tables. The exercise room is large and fully stocked with machines of all kinds, and there is a craft room, a hardware, and a variety of other specialized areas to entertain hobbies of all kinds.The grounds of Timbercrest -- those beyond the front door -- are beautiful. There are gardens and walking paths that are easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or motorized scooter, and this is where I have spent some of the best time with my aunt. "

"I went to Grace Village, it was a very nice place. We were looking at independent living at that time. They had very nice rooms, my mother was looking at a 1-bedroom. I know they have studios, they have 1-bedrooms, probably 2-bedrooms, and independent cottages or duplex-type areas. Their food is excellent, they showed us a library, I think they had a beauty salon and a fitness room too. The staff was fine as far as showing us everything, sitting down going over the information with us, and giving us information to take with us."

"My mom liked Coventry Meadows Assisted Living and Garden Homes. It was a smaller community and it had nice grounds. They had a lot of the same type of amenities like movie night set up in the theater with popcorn machines and different activities. It appeared to be very clean and well-kept. They had set times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So, you had to fall into their schedule as far as your meals were concerned. They had studio apartments. They all had a microwave and a hotel-style refrigerator in them. The staff that was taking us around on the tour was very polite and very knowledgeable. I saw a couple of other staff members in the hallways as we were taking our tours and they were polite. They acknowledged us and said hello to us."

"I live in the independent living at Peabody Retirement Community. I like it very much. The people I live with around are very nice. The community itself is very nice/well taken care of. I would like to find some other community that maybe doesn't cost quite as much, and is maybe closer to the rest of my family. Fort Wayne would be better. I have a duplex. It's a two-bedroom with full kitchen. I would say it's about a thousand square feet, with a garage. The staff is very nice. I don't take advantage of the food very often because I have my own kitchen. Especially now with the pandemic, the independents don't mix in with the regular building. We don't go into the dining room anymore. The food is very good. I just don't take advantage of it very often. It's a beautiful facility, it's full service, and a continuum location. In other words, I am independent out here, but they offer the full services if I need to go inside for assisted living or healthcare. It's all here. They have buses to take us to meals and takeout food shops. They have a bingo or artwork, all kinds of things going on during the normal week, but of course, not now."

"My wife is in Covington Manor in a big rehab facility. It's close to where my home is, which makes it more convenient for me. They seem to go out of their way to help. They have bingo, polish your nails, and have a lot of activities. They're very good. "

"My friend is at Lake City Place right now. My sister looked at it, and to me it sounded like a good and nice place. I think the staff is doing a good job, they are very friendly, and knowledgeable. The food is excellent. He likes it. I've not been there actually, and I just had a virtual tour with them, but my sister is taking care of the rest. Overall, I think it's a very fine place."

"I have been thoroughly impressed with the Heritage of Huntington! The facilities are clean, attractive and comfortable. The staff is professional, approachable and caring. My aunt is well taken care of. Any time I or any other member of our family has a question or concern, the staff at the Heritage of Huntington has always been happy to help us. They are very good at following up if we have any concerns as well. There are regular activities for a variety of interests and socialization is encouraged! Maybe the most impressive thing to me is how the Heritage really tries to make the surroundings as much like a home as possible. My aunt's stay has been a positive experience; so much so, that I myself would choose this particular facility if the need ever arises for me to enter a nursing home. The atmosphere there is much more like a family than an impersonal business. "

"I moved into Silver Birch at Cook Road. It's very nice, and the apartment is very large. They're very friendly, attentive, and they seem to be organized. They have exercise, bingo, cards, crafts, and billiards. The dining area is very clean, and the food is good."
