"I found all of the staff from the front to the back to be very caring and attentive to the patients and the families. They worked with me in a very difficult and timely manner. From what I could tell from my twice weekly or more visits the other patients were also well cared for and as happy as they could be. My husband was in Memory Care."

"We went to Georgetowne Place, and we ended up choosing the place for my mom. What we liked about them is that they have a separate cottage, and that is what she wanted. They have a pool, and she gets two meals a day. They have all kinds of cards and games. They have a library, a billiard room, and church. They also have activities like Wii bowling and crafts. They do have a beauty and a barber shop. It has everything that she needs. They have been really good about if she has something wrong, and they fix it right away. They also check on her every day if she has checked in, and we don’t have to worry about her falling or just lying there. Everything has been really good, and I have been impressed with them. "

"Astral at Auburn was a modern facility. The staff was very nice. The residents that we talked to seemed to love it. I liked all the different activities. I loved the open terrace idea on the top. Independent living would be perfect for my parents at this point and I liked how they have different levels of care if someone gets sick, but their goal seems to be to get them back to the independent lifestyle. So, I was just impressed with the whole facility. They had a lady that had just come back from a bicycle ride when we were there. I didn't see anyone in the activity center, but they had a very large and well-stocked facility. They had a nice church for services and I loved all the different available activities. It's posted right there for all the residents to follow if they want to participate in bingo or cards. I think it's a new facility and there are not really that many people out there right now. We looked at all the different rooms, but the one that I liked was the one-bedroom with the den because the den was right off the living room. So that's more of like a daybed where my mom would like to sleep during the day so she could still be part of the household and wake up easily if someone comes over to visit versus being back in a separate bedroom. The two bedrooms were also nice. They all have outdoor balconies. They have a very generous visitor and guest policy. Plus, the residents are not treated like prisoners. If they wanted to come up and spend the night with me, we just let them know or if they will be on vacation, or if they have extra people. So, they still could have their own lives and I think that's wonderful. They have a pool, and a workout facility with trainers and physical therapists there. Their medicine system was very easy to understand and very secure. They've got it going on and the staff was just amazing. They were very, very friendly. We haven't tried any meal there but they invited us to come and bring my parents out any time for a meal."

"I was satisfied with 1019 Belle's Place of Wabash, and that's why I went ahead and recommended to the social worker to send a packet to see if they would accept my friend. The community gave a warm feeling, it's clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The clients looked like they were well taken care of. The rooms were spacious. I saw their dining area. They were eating when I was there, but I didn't check the food. They had the linen tablecloths and linen napkins, kind of like a fine dining feel. They offer a variety of activities scheduled on a daily basis. They have an enclosed patio, and each room has a nice nature view outside."

"I did not like Miller's Manor. I thought it was old and I did not like the layout. The nurses were very nice, but the facility was awful. There's nothing comfortable looking, or feeling about it."

"I have a close family member who is currently a resident at this facility. From day one the staff has been exceptionally accommodating to us and everyone was very pleasant. They gave us a detailed tour of the facility and answered all of our questions regarding the type of assistance that would be available to my family member. The staff at this facility are extremely caring, compassionate, and are more than willing to assist both their residents and the residents' family members in meeting their needs. The facility is also very clean and well taken care of. The apartments are spacious and have full amenities. Their maintenance staff is very quick to correct anything that may need fixed. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is considering assisted living. "

"The resident rooms are spacious, very nice wall & carpet colors. The whole facility is well maintained, new & tastefully decorated for a comfortable environment. The staff are qualified, friendly & helpful. Residents have art class & bingo, church services & other games, more activities are coming & monthly fun themes that are celebrated. The residents are well cared for, hospice is allowed, it is a safe serene environment. My dad received hospice care thru a separate organization that came in. Caregivers are very compassionate & knowledgeable. The Director helps with any concerns we have & resolves them."

"I'm going to Quail Ridge Villas. I went there last year, and I was there again today. I liked the complete setup; it's very new and very nicely decorated. They have a lot of amenities. I can use the swimming pool and recreation equipment, I can have my own garden, and it's the kind of community where I like to be. It's out in the country and it's what I'm used to, and that's very important to me. They have different kinds of living arrangements, all independent. Some of them are villas and some are separate, two-bedroom apartments with an attached garage. They have a high-rise, senior-living complex, they have two-to-three-bedroom homes that you can rent, and it's all laid out in a beautiful place."

"My brother is at Majestic Care of West Allen and they're very good at communicating and letting me know anything that goes on there when I can't get there because I have two daughters and we all work full time. So, it's a once-a-week visit type thing. His room is very nice. The food is good. He is putting on weight, which is what he needs to do, and that's one of their goals. The facility is still new. The people are good there."

"We take my mother to Lutheran Life Village Birchwood two times a week, which is private pay and we're very well pleased with them. They're a very good organization here in Allen County. They got four different facilities around the area and this facility specializes in dementia and Alzheimer's condition. Overall, we are very well pleased. It is only two years old and they offer daycare from 6:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon, and every other Saturday. They offer lunch meal and bathing services for the visitors, which is primarily why we bring our mother there. I don't have the facilities to give a handicapped person a bath here in my house, and her home is in need of repair. We take her there for bathing purposes and socialization, and a little time away from my house, which gives me a little break also. Overall, everything is in A+ condition. I'm very well satisfied. "

"Upon driving into Timbercrest, one can't help be struck by the beauty and simplicity of the facility. Regardless of the season, the grounds are well-manicured and very well-taken care of. In the winter, there is never any ice or snow obstructing the walks; in the spring and summer, there are always flowers and planters placed everywhere. Although I have never had any prolonged contact with the staff, the facility always seems very-well staffed, and the receptionists on duty are always very friendly and eager to help. In fact, every employee that I pass by on trips in and out of the various corridors are always quick to say hello and ask me if there is anything I need.I think what impresses me most about Timbercrest is the facilities and amenities offered for residents. There is a large kitchen area that is available for residents to use for family reunions or other gatherings. In this area, there are also dart boards and pool tables. The exercise room is large and fully stocked with machines of all kinds, and there is a craft room, a hardware, and a variety of other specialized areas to entertain hobbies of all kinds.The grounds of Timbercrest -- those beyond the front door -- are beautiful. There are gardens and walking paths that are easily accessible for anyone in a wheelchair or motorized scooter, and this is where I have spent some of the best time with my aunt. "

"I went to Grace Village, it was a very nice place. We were looking at independent living at that time. They had very nice rooms, my mother was looking at a 1-bedroom. I know they have studios, they have 1-bedrooms, probably 2-bedrooms, and independent cottages or duplex-type areas. Their food is excellent, they showed us a library, I think they had a beauty salon and a fitness room too. The staff was fine as far as showing us everything, sitting down going over the information with us, and giving us information to take with us."
