The Best Independent Living Communities in Baldwin County, AL

"I visited the independent living community of Seagrass Village of Daphne, and I have put a deposit down. I was looking for a 1-bedroom apartment, and their apartments are large and nice. I don't know how the food's going to be, but I will have a full kitchen, and I like that. I also like the washer and dryer. It's a smaller place than the other community I visited, but I think I could be happy there. The dining area is fine. It wasn't huge, which was nice. It had everything I needed, basically. I also used a couple of doctors in Fairhope, and they're close. The person who gave the tour was great. She showed me around and introduced me to people. She was very welcoming and explained a lot of things to me. She came out to meet me and was very helpful. She was also very kind."

"I toured Seabrook Pointe. I was pleased with the director and her instructions on what they did and how they operated. The tour of the facility was nice. We enjoyed it. They had a nice place and nice accommodations for memory care. The staff members were very cordial and informative if we stopped and talked with them. The room we saw was like a studio. It was a little bit bigger than the one at the other place. It had the accommodations that I think my sister would enjoy, and the eating area and the people, but the director made a good impression on us. When I was there, all the residents were having dinner, but they showed me the common areas and the outside areas that would accommodate the residents. It was a nice place. I would recommend what I saw."

"The Brennity was good. The lady that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. The room that was available was at the back and down the hall. It was small, and my mother's stuff would not have fit in there. It was clean. The lady was very kind and very professional. She showed us anything we wanted to see, but there wasn’t much available there. We saw one or two rooms, and neither one would have worked for what mother's needs were. "

"It was the place that I would probably like for myself, but it wasn't good for my sister. It was a very nice facility. The rooms were very nice, and I really liked it. I liked the people I met there. They were very friendly people. I liked the things that they had for the residents there. I liked the activities."

"I toured The Reserve at Fairhope. The facility was beautiful. It's brand new and very nice. The memory care facility residents don't have access to outside. They have one small courtyard thing, but the residents aren't allowed to go out there by themselves. Otherwise, the facility was nice. The rooms were big, the staff seemed great and attentive. The food was good too. They have different options."

"I have been here at Westminster Village for two months now. I am staying in a studio type apartment on the third floor, but I have a sunroom. They have a gym and a pool and they have a lot of activities here. The place is terrific. We are about 400 people here. The staff is great and their happy in their work. Everybody is happy here. "
