Riverside Senior Life Communities Assisted Living & Memory Care

My mom moved to Riverside Senior Life Communities Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was clean. It was a comfortable feeling. My mom said that she likes to walk, and it's kind of restricted as far as walking. She just can walk in the hallways, but she can go out and they do take a walk and things like that. There are little places where they can sit. There's a screened-in porch that overlooks or is on that wing. They have activities that they do. The staff, they're always helpful and they're also helpful with mom when she wants to give us a call or give me a call. They have a portable phone that she can take from the office and take down to her room and talk, and when she's done she takes it back. So that's nice. I haven't sat there and had lunch with her or supper or breakfast, but she said that they get a choice, I did notice that before lunch, they'll come in and ask. They get a couple of different choices for lunch and then they ask what they like to have for dinner and they have that all taken care of. She's playing bingo the other day. They have a little area that they go to for P.T. and someone comes and gets them and takes them over there. I was there when she was getting her hair done when we were up there in October and there's a full schedule. I haven't looked at the November schedule, but there are scheduled activities that go on throughout the day and you can participate and they will come and they'll encourage you to go. I think it's a good value. I know some of these places are just so over the top for costs.
