"I would recommend Legacy Village of Tifton. I was very impressed with it. The memory care was very nice; in fact, they've built in there a fireplace for them and made them a new screened-in porch. A lot of people like to go out and sit on that and the fireplace especially for colder weather. I know they're loving that. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. If there was somewhere to place my brother in Georgia, I would consider them. They're high up on my list of care homes. It was a very nice clean place. It was very clean inside the building and the rooms I saw. COVID kinda got everything shut down, but they let me suit up and got over to the memory care and looked at it. I didn't get to visit much of it because the executive director was out that day."

"Grace Manor is an assisted living facility for the elderly and special needs of our area. It is an expensive but very nice assisted living facility with plenty of outdoor area to walk and enjoy The apartment rooms are not too large, but are very comfortable. I visited at least once a week over the two year period she lived there. The staff is very good and very organized. The only problem I had was they would always give in to whatever my grandmother wanted, mostly too much chocolate, which caused her to restless and hyper.Every week their would be a special covered dish supper and many of the residents did cook. I went once and enjoyed it. Their were several activities to do. Bingo once a month on a Saturday evening.I have been around several nursing homes and one other assisted living facility, but this one is the nicest one.It only took one month to get moved in and a couple of days to get all the paperwork done. I would certainly use them again and I wouldn't living there if it comes to that.Overall the facility had very nice workers and plenty of activities for the ones living there. Everyone living there was checked on casually and thoroughly.The grounds were always kept neat and clean every time I went.I would rate it a 4.5 out of of 5 points on the grading scale. "

"Maple Court Senior Care was a very nice place. They helped mom with housekeeping once a week and with the little grocery items that she stocked in her little kitchenette. She relied on the transportation provided by the facility to take her to stores. They also did medication management, and that was nice. They had a couple of activities and smaller activities to get mom out and mingle. The building was decorated very nicely. It was shaped like an O. They had a front area and the major lobby area with the fireplace. Then they had all the rooms go all the way around. They had a central courtyard that had a fountain in it. They had areas to sit outside in the grass, so if you have dogs/little animals, you could take them out there. It was a closed courtyard, so you could actually take them off the leash and run around. It was really nice. The only thing was you had to eat what they cooked for everybody. You couldn't have something made special for you. That was the reason why sometimes mom didn't want to go down there and eat her food, but they could take the food up to your room if you want to. The price was expensive, around $4500 a month. For what we got, it seemed to be comparative. The staff developed a relationship with their residents and with my mom. They had certain residents that the workers bonded with, and they focused on that bond, which was nice."

"Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia is larger than the other facility. It is kept up nice and clean. It is easy to get to and it is located close to eating-places for visitors. The staff seems to be nice. They have two people to a room."

"The nursing home is located on a busy street that is also named Palmyra. On the front step there are rocking chairs and potted plants. On the inside it looks clean and well-staffed. It smelled like Bengay and stool. And I have found that older people generally smell that way. The rooms are just enough for the resident(s) and maybe a visitor. The room that my uncle was in had two beds and he had a roommate that chewed snuff. I know that my uncle didn't chew snuff but when I came back he was chewing it too! And he actually swallowed it! I asked his roommate why did he give it to him he said he offered and he accepted. The staff has a semi-attentive attitude. When I told them about this incident they didn't seem too concerned. They don't look happy or sad, they look like they are just there. My uncle was there maybe a month before he passed. probably from swallowing all that snuff "

"I went to Evergreen Assisted Living. When you come in, it's like coming into the living room of a house. It had furnishings that you would probably have in your own home that would be accommodating for patients as well as people coming to visit loved ones. It seemed very comfortable and welcoming. I interacted with two of the staff and they were very friendly. They had outside activities. They had tours. They could go to the library. It was very interesting because it seemed like they were letting people get a more normal activity than they would have if they were just in a nursing facility."

"My wife had a stroke and is at Lee County Health & Rehab. I think the care and services are excellent, and the place is immaculate. "

"My father has moved into Pruithealth - Sunrise. They were able to approve him for Medicaid, so it worked out great. I went over there just the other day and visited him, and he got a haircut. They had somebody come out to the place to be able to cut his hair, and it was a really good experience. I like the community because they keep up the place very well, in my opinion. It is a clean, good, and healthy place to live. They serve really good food there that my dad really likes. He has opportunities to do some exercise if he wants to, and they have different activities. He has settled in there pretty well and likes it. The staff members are very friendly, nice, and easy to work with. I just recently had a meeting with the planner and the nursing director, and they were great to work with. The staff members are the best just because of their communication, their friendliness, and their willingness to show up and go the extra mile to make sure that my dad has what he needs. Also, to be able to get him approved for Medicaid insurance was huge. It is a Southern style of cooking that they do there. They also have more healthy choices. It's an old building, but it is kept very well. The maintenance, I feel like, is kept pretty well considering how old the community is. I don't know much about the activities because my dad hasn't decided in the last two months since he has been there to get involved in them yet, but he may change his mind and decide to do more exercise activities with them. There is an activities director there, and they do different exercises. They have stretches in the morning and different fun things that they do together."

"We're enjoying Legacy Village at Park Regency very much. The care has been really well and mom's pleased with the facilities. It's a really pretty place. The staff is wonderful. Right now, she's in the memory care side but we are working on moving her to the assisted living side because her condition improved. I bring food in, but mom says the food there is OK. It's not home-cooked and mom is used to home cooking, but she says it's OK. It's just not what she's used to. Ratio of staff to residents is good, but she says sometimes she has to wait and she's impatient. They're very friendly and accommodating as much as they possibly can and as quickly as they can. She has participated in activities, but they have a good bit more on the assisted living side than they do for the memory care; for obvious reasons, they're able to do more."

"My mother stayed at Cobblestone Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. I never got to visit because of Coronavirus. The staff communicated with me only when I called and asked to try and find out what I was going to do, whether Mom was staying for $8,000 a month or I was going to take her home. The staff member I talked to on the phone wanted me to tell them what was going on and what was happening, but no, you need to tell me what to do. I didn't get to see the facility, I didn't get to take a tour of it, so I didn't know what the inside looked like. The outside was really nice, but I didn't get past the lobby. They need to come down on prices for older adults that need to stay there. Like for my mom or dad, they don't make $8,000 a month to pay the lease; they're lucky if they get $3,000."
