"My dad is a resident of The Overlook Toccoa. It's small and is privately owned. It's very clean and very friendly. They also have great communication. They're just excellent to my folks and they're just loving my dad and taking care of him. They're taking care of him and doing what I was doing at home for him and he's having interaction with the other residents, which is excellent for him. The room is beautiful and looks like a hotel. It's very clean and very freshly painted. It's a fairly new facility, but very well kept. There is no odor and it's secure. There are railings down both sides of the hall and from his room up to the common area into the dining room. They have safety measures like call buttons and the one in the bathroom. In the bathrooms, you don't have to step up to get into the shower, and it also has a seat in there. You don't have to put one in there, it's built into the unit. It's nice. They have a huge table where everybody gets around the table. They cook home-cooked meals in the morning, noon and night. It's excellent and smells good. They have an activity director. They're just mainly keeping him adjusted right now. I've seen folks doing several different activities in different areas. They have a porch off of the dining room that is secure. So, they can't get off the porch and can't fall off the porch, and it goes all the way to a river that overlooks the Toccoa Creek. It is absolutely beautiful and nice out there. They can have cookouts and just enjoy the outside in a secure way when the weather's appropriate. They also have activities if they want to join in. It's all on one level too."
