We saw Buena Vida Estates. The apartments are very, very nice. There's nothing I like least. It's a rather small place. The population is small, but they still have as many activities as any other place. The staff answered all our questions. They have everything that we would be interested in. They have a gym and a pool. The upkeep was very good. No complaints at all.

We only saw the rehab part of Buena Vida Estates. It's old, but for a nursing home, the smell is okay. It's a pretty good place. My brother-in-law is there now under VA. The staff is wonderful. The food is average. He's 70 years old, and he's not interested in Bingo. The activities are outdated for him.

My parents are residents of Buena Vida Estates. BVE deserves the highest rating. It is a really wonderful place, with a great sense of community - and even family - amongst the residents and staff. My parents started out in a beautiful two bedroom apartment in independent living. As health needs changed, they moved on to a 1 bedroom in assisted living and now memory care. My two siblings and I have actively participated in the transitions and come to know the staff and facilities in all three living areas, and the health services like physical therapy, doctors, and speech therapy. I can't say enough about the excellent quality of care and loving community at Buena Vida. The place is beautiful and comfortable and the food is excellent. There are great lectures, music, social gatherings and games. All we (my siblings and I) wanted was for our parents to be happy and supported. Of course it is a gamble when one makes such a serious commitment. But I'm glad to say that my parents and we are very happy they decided on Buena Vida. As my parents' care needs change, I am continually impressed with the quality of loving care at Buena Vida. While we are impressed with the level of support from everyone there: maintenance (Jesse), chefs, activities directors (Nancy, Debby, and Boyd), I must mention Michael B., one of the excellent nurses in Assisted Living. He is exceptionally caring, patient, and respectful of my parents as their needs change. It is clear that he comes from a place of love and patience even when things are challenging, and you can see that my parents truly care for him. Thank you, Buena Vida for all that you do to create such a great community. My siblings and I love coming to visit, and we also feel at peace when we are away knowing that our parents are well looked after in a loving community.

I would have liked to go to Buena Vida Estates, but it was awfully expensive. The entry fee is based on the size of the apartment, and for me it would be almost $4,000 a month. The entry fee was outrageous for a 1-bedroom apartment -- which was almost $200,000. I couldn't do that. I was very favorably impressed with what you get there. They have an excellent program and you get treated like you're on a cruise. The rooms are very small though.

I had eaten a number of times at Buena Vida Estates, and the food was good. They had a Bridge group and a lot of musical events. They were also very good in organizing tours to the county symphony orchestra performances. They had quite a few excursions on their calendar. The rooms were nice, and they had many different apartments because they had new and older wings. The apartment that I saw was one of the largest ones with a bedroom, a bath, a den, and a kitchen with plenty of equipment. It was a very attractive place.

Buena Vida Estates is very nice. My friend said the food is very good. She showed me where the hospital was, and her beautiful apartment. They have a workout room, a pool, and they have a lot of activities.

Buena Vida has exceeded my expectations over the last 3 years. The menu offers many choices and tastes very good. The landscaping makes every view pleasant. The common areas are inviting. I participate in many activities including exercise, watercolor class, and bridge. Quality entertainment is regularly scheduled and so are parties.

I've been with this facility for almost 9 years. There have been ups and downs, but mostly it's been a good experience. The staff was fine, but they need to have a little bit better management. I wouldn't say that they're not caring about the residents, but there's not quite the warmth that they're used to be when I first came in. Overall, it's a wonderful place and I've been happy.

Buena Vida is a beautiful community that is well maintained with a warm and friendly atmosphere. I was most impressed by the spacious apartments and the wide variety of activity. The only CCRC in Brevard County.
