I visited HarborChase of Vero Beach. I loved the layout of the rooms and the activities that they had. They have something going on morning, noon, and night there. They have dances, parties, bingo, puzzles, and all kinds of things. The room was laid out very professionally, and the décor was very lovely. The staff who gave me the tour was very professional and very nice. Their staff was wonderful. I had a meal in their café, not in the cafeteria. It was delicious. They have chefs there; they don't have cooks. I had a turkey wrap. It was delicious. We couldnt afford it, but it was beautiful.

I looked at HarborChase of Vero Beach. The room the staff showed me was tiny, and I know my sister wouldn't have been happy with it. It's very nice. The best part was that it was very clean, and the people were very nice. The part that I didn't like was the size of the room. However, they were very kind, and the place was clean. The residents were happy. They have a dining area, and they have an area for the residents to sit with their family members. It was very nice. It was a pretty place.

This review has been long overdo , I moved my Stepmom and Dad in there August 2019 I can’t begin to say enough about the staff in Memory Care . Under the direction of Lavinia and her staff they went above and beyond in the caring for the both of them. Unfortunately my Stepmom passed away in May 2020 after an illness. My Dad continued living there until his passing July 2021 . I was always impressed with The menu they were served , the activities they were provided , and how they ensured that my parents were always well groomed and their apartment kept clean. When I was not able to be there Lavinia keep me abreast of what was going on with them through photos and calls with information.

My father currently resides at Harbor Chase in their memory care. He was residing at another facility nearby where he needed more intensive care with his day to day living. My father has had a host of health issues where he is unable to do anything for himself. I won't go into how I felt about the other place, but here he is doing 100% better now. Lavinia and her team here are absolutely amazing!! She genuinely cares about him and her residents and it shows. He loves her and his new home. She truly has a heart of gold and I feel most comfortable now where he is at now. The facility is clean, bright and cheery and the staff are all super friendly. I would highly recommend Harbor Chase.

My father was in Harbor Chase memory care for a little over a year before he passed away. He had a lovely room with a sitting area, bedroom and large bathroom. It was always clean. He was well taken care of and he and his clothes were always clean. The food was very good as was the selection. He got to go on trips and the director, Lavinia, made sure I got lots of photos of him interacting with staff and entertainment they had. He was not just treated as a patient, but as a resident who lived there with his friends. I would recommend Harbor Chase to anyone.

I think it’s a very good facility that does a difficult job. I have a family member there and she is well cared for. I am contacted with any issues or questions about my family member. The room is very nice, they keep the residents occupied with activities and tv so they are not in their rooms too much.

The memory care is the best around. Very family like atmosphere. Lavinia is the director and she always keeps us informed about mom. She is very passionate about her job and treats mom like family.

We've been to HarborChase of Vero Beach twice. They have the memory care under a different name nearby. It's recently been remodeled ,and it's beautiful. We've been asked to come back and eat their food. Both times, we noticed that there were very few clients out and about. They had a ton of staff members who were all very sweet and thoughtful. It's a pretty facility, but the apartments were small. I don't think my mother would like it because of the size of the apartments. They had a tiny place they called a salon. Their activities were nice. Supposedly, they're busy, and they're in the middle of fixing the bar. It was a nice place. My daughter's best friend's grandmother stayed there, and she felt it was like resort living. The staff all seemed extremely accessible and outgoing. The gym was very nice.

Our visit to HarborChase of Vero Beach was ok. It's a much smaller facility, and I wasn't overly impressed. It's 15 years old, and it could use a little facelift or a little cleanup. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I was just there a couple of hours ago. They're just getting ready to serve lunch and it was Taco Tuesday, and it smelled pretty good. They're doing remodeling. They did not offer a lot of amenities, they have a TV and a bingo room, and that's it.

My cousin is now in HarborChase of Vero Beach. It's very clean and very nice. Appearance wise, it is very good. The staff is very nice. He got very good accommodations. He's got a whole apartment almost. The size of his apartment is excellent. It's perfect. They have a chef there, and the food is absolutely amazing. They go out of the way to help you. They're very good people. For my cousin, it's the perfect match. They have a gym there that he can go to. He really likes that. It's a great place.

The staff at HarborChase of Vero Beach was very engaging and very informative. They have probably a 5-star menu there. They don't skimp on food for their residents, which is nice to see. Some places aren't that generous when it comes to food. The only negative thing that I felt was the place was a little dark, such as hallways. It was hard to maneuver. It's not just a straight hallway for an older person. You have to remember to turn here or turn there. Even though I liked it overall, that was the one thing that I didn't feel that would work for my father or my particular situation. If somebody had more cognitive abilities to locate and maneuver, it would be a very fine facility. They had the most activity, and they had the most employees of the ones I saw. The only thing I'm afraid of is my dad not being able to maneuver there and find his way here or there. It would have to be a downstairs place for him. The place was too spread out. I liked it if it it wasn't for that. They had the best food, probably the best employee ratio, and the best engagement. They were really good in that respect.

My mom has moved into HarborChase of Vero Beach. They're on lockdown. My mom is in assisted living and my father is in memory care. The layout is nice. The dining room is very nice. They have an excellent chef. The food is unbelievable. We have eaten there numerous time and it is very good. The dining room is lovely. My mother has an apartment that has a living room, a very small bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette. It is very small. My dad just has one room in their memory care. It's very well maintained. The amenities are alright. It's in a beautiful location and a very nice area.

The facility is homey but could be cleaner. The staff are nice but they are definitely overworked and understaffed. Management does not appear to be on top of things or are overworked as well. Activities are good. Could use nicer outdoor areas for sitting and walking. The best outdoor area is for memory care only. The front is the only spot for assisted living but it overlooks a parking lot and busy road.

HarborChase of Vero Beach was a home setting, I didn't see any activities going on, and the dining area was okay. The rooms were bigger than the other place, but I didn't care for it at all. The staff was very nice, but it was a quick tour, and the atmosphere was depressing.

We were impressed with Harbor Chase. we think it's a very nice community. The seemed to have activities, including discussion club, and were more interactive with the people. Everybody from the staff welcomed us and wanted us to understand how nice the facility was. I thought they did a good job. The rooms were OK and had space to move around in them.

The medication management at Harbor Chase was a lot better than other places. It was a really good community. The rooms were very nice and smaller but very functional and wheelchair accessible. You can bring quite a few of your things there. They have mini fridges, and you can bring a microwave. They do chair exercises in the morning and have Bingo, movie nights, and trivia sessions. There are a lot of activities for everybody.

HarborChase of Vero Beach didn’t have as many activities, and it was a little bit off the beaten path. There's a lot of traffic, but it's not close to shopping centers and churches, and it was not as welcoming. Maybe they can provide a more welcoming atmosphere because when you walk in, there are no residents sitting around and visiting, and there just didn't seem as much going on.

I would like to take the time to thank the staff at Harbor Chase for the monumental job of transporting the Memory Care residents to Sarasota thus avoiding the wrath of Hurricane Matthew!!! I was in absolute confidence that my Mother was in good hands, not only during the storm but every day. Its because of people like Stephanie, Phyllis, Debbie the rest of the Management Team, the support staff and anyone who has a responsibility towards the Memory Care Unit, a great big thank you!!! I can not imagine the work that your job requires, but I am positive that my Mother appreciates what you all do. Again, thank you, you guys do a great job. Tim B.

The people were very caring at Harbor Chase. My loved one has many activities to do, and she’s very happy. She’s very proud of her room and knows a lot of people there. She’s participating in coloring. They serve three meals a day plus snacks, and they were baking cookies yesterday when we were there. She went out last week for ice cream. The staff has been extremely helpful working with her as she progressed.

HarborChase of Vero Beach is established. They showed us that they have nice quarters decorated really nicely and made to feel really pleasant for the residents. They also had activities and play games. They also work with the residents to do exercises and things that work with them. Again, the surroundings were very attractive. The landscaping in the area was very pretty, very pleasing, and appealing. The day that we had toured, it was on a Sunday, which was kind of neat because we didn’t call and schedule our tour. We were just in the area. The people upfront were really nice and said, "We can give you a tour now if you like," so it was kind of neat. That was really nice. A lot of the residents said that on Sunday, a lot of family comes and picks them up and takes them out for lunch or spends a day with them and brings them back at night. That was nice to hear.

I thought HarborChase was very nice, but it would cost a fortune to live there. I only met the person that showed me around. I was treated fine. I saw an apartment, which I thought was very small. They were well organzied and had plenty of stuff to do.

We visited HarborChase around the middle or end of September. The person who took us around introduced us to the staff and to the people who work in the kitchen. She showed us the rooms of some of the residents. They were very nice, because it was a new building. The rooms were very spacious. Everybody was very accommodating.

My mother just came out of assisted living from HarborChase, and overall it was excellent. The food was good, fresh, and had lots of variety. The activities were good, and that would be a good choice. The exit there is a desk, so that’s very well monitored, and if somebody walked too far, it would be easy to find.

My father in law left this facility in 2011. Pluses: Absolutely beautiful facility. The caregivers and staff were wonderful, always helpful, and went above and beyond. You could tell they really cared about the residents. Minus: Top Administrator and assistant left a lot to be desired. When we had family there, the Administrator was at first all smiles and pleasantries. Soon afterwards rude, augmentative, and condescending to us whenever we needed her. Good for you, I hear she is gone now! Facility seemed to be short staffed. The workers were all great but seemed always rushed.

Compared to the previous assisted living establishment my grandmother lived at, the one at Harbor Chase was amazing. Most of the time the care facilities have a strong smell of disinfectant that one usually associates with hospitals or clinics, but not here. I feel that the smell of a place can make you feel comfortable and at home, but if the smell or atmosphere of the facility puts you on edge, like the hospital smell does for me, then the individual may not feel comfortable in their own home. One of the nicest additions that Harbor Chase has is the small library in the main facility. It is very nice to be able to freely borrow books, and is a good program to encourage members to interact at the book club meetings that they have their. The food, while expensive for guests, is very good and my grandmother comments on the variety that they have. Overall, a very nice place.
