The average age is 78 The Villas provides an environment that fosters an opportunity for Elders to express their creative talent, pursue exercise, relaxation, and fulfill basic social and spiritual needs by both organized activities scheduled on a regular basis and self-directed engagement. They love sitting on the porches and walking around the enclosed secured perimeters as well.

The residents have access to the entire Villa - it is their home. They have access to the kitchen and their is a pantry to store their own food. Some enjoy setting the table or participating in the assembling of the meals.

Pendants and wander management 1:6. Our ratio is much smaller compared to a larger community with 30 on a wing.

We email with photos or utilize facebook. Phone calls daily. Families are allowed to schedule window visits with the Elders. We can also assist with Facetime

Small pets are welcome and can enjoy our walking paths and secured and surrounding gated neighborhood.
How many staffers are on duty in the daytime and overnight?
Minimum 2 Care Partners in each Villa as well as the nurse, Administrator and local owner is available during the day. Overnight there is one Care Partner in each Villa and nurse is on call and manager on duty.
What safety features or security measures does Villas at Killearn Lakes provide to protect residents who wander?
We will assess the residents prior to move in and upon move in to see if they are a wander risk. Elder will be provided a wander guard if an elopement risk and all staff will be notified. The gate will lock automatically if Elder is near gate and another resident or visitor is trying to leave.

The nurse will assess health and cognitive functioning.

The campus is tucked away in Killearn Lakes between 2 churches. It is very safe. No steps throughout the campus. It is gated with a code.

We will assist the family in this process if a higher level of care is needed. We are affiliated with FSU Senior Health if an Elder wishes to be seen by one of the geriatricians within the community.
