The Sheridan at Cooper City is an excellent community. I moved my mother in there because it was the cleanest and most spotless, and they have the friendliest employees. All the people who work there are really nice. There are no competitions. She's in a 1-bedroom apartment, you have to get your own furniture, but other than that it seems fine. They have a lot of live entertainment, they bring in singers, piano and trumpet players, and they have BBQ grill outside. They also take the residents outside to places like Walmart on their bus, and they offer a class upstairs. The dining room is open and all the meals are included. The food is average, not really spectacular, but it's perfectly fine.

I went to look at The Sheridan at Cooper City. The staff was very nice, informative, and followed up on things. She was good. The place was nice and convenient. It wasn't as close as some of the other facilities to me, but they also did not offer the ability to take care of my mom. They had a gym, a salon, areas to do different crafts, and different areas to watch movies and entertainment to keep you busy if you wanted to be. The facility looked very clean. There was a little shopping center right by it, which could be convenient for them.

When I took the tour at The Sheridan at Cooper City assisted living, they had some residents that had COVID so there weren't that many actual people who lived there around because a lot of them were in their rooms. Some people were isolated because of the COVID outbreak so I don't think I got a good picture of what it would look like under normal circumstances. The lady that took me around was on time, she was very helpful, and showed me every area. It was very clean and a very nice facility. The dining area was nice and they had activities all day long. They have a lot of onsite physical therapy and that type of stuff too. I saw the list of activities but because of the COVID outbreak, it was very quiet there and there weren't a lot of residents. Some residents were sitting in the lobby but other than that, all the rooms where the activities would have been were empty because of the COVID outbreak. I didn't get a good picture of what it might be like on a normal day.

We would like to put my mother-in-law at The Sheridan at Cooper City. It was very bright and sunny, and everyone seemed happy. The staff was friendly and it looked very clean. It was a nice place to be in.

The Sheridan at Cooper City was fantastic. The only thing is that it's private. It's huge, it's brand-new, it's beautiful, it's perfect. Everybody wants to be there. They have a waiting list a gazillion miles long. They had everything you could think of and then some. The food looked fantastic. They were very knowledgeable. However, they have to be private for the first few years and then they can file for all the incentives like Medicare/Medicaid.

My husband lives in The Sheridan, which just opened last November. It's very clean, very modern, and the staff is wonderful. They're friendly and professional. The rooms are large, there are no impediments, the ceilings are high, and the walls are well spaced apart for wheelchair access. They have so many activities, they have physical and mental activities every day, they have arts and crafts, and they have field trips. They have specific religious activities and happy hour once a week.
