"I went to Simpson House. I looked at what turned out to be an efficiency and a one-bedroom. It's near the place where my wife is. It looked very nice and the residents seemed very nice also. I would prefer to have a balcony, but they didn't have one available. The staff was very, very pleasant, and very helpful. I've seen a library, I've seen a movie theater, I've seen the cafeteria or some kind of a restaurant because some of the programs you get three free meals a day, and some of them you only get one free meal a day. I've seen computers, I've seen some sitting areas near outdoor greenery areas, which to me is a very high plus, because I liked the greenery areas."

"I was able to see Evergreens. They had a lot of people working there, they had a lot of nurses, and they took care of everything. If my mother was in assisted living, I would say that's where she should be, but she needs special care. The Evergreens was my favorite and they had everything. They had gyms and even a pool, but in the nursing home I don't like what they have there for what my mother needs."

"We once visited Riddle Village. They offer everything, easy walking out with friends and biking. The surrounding scenery is beautiful. If you had an active life before you came in Riddle Village, you will definitely continue it. You have to get out and do things. I saw that everyone seems to get involved in something. You can see a smile on everyone's face. It looks like they are well taken care of. It was just a lovely visit. "

"I volunteered at this facility for a period of about six months, and the employees whom I encountered were very nice. The grounds of the facility were kept beautifully with regular landscaping, and many sidewalks available for a wheelchair to be pushed along. Accessibility for the elderly seemed to be very easy, and staff was there to help with even the simplest tasks. Daily times were allotted so that other members of the community may become acquainted with one another through board games, playing piano, or a themed meal. I would say if I needed an assisted living facility that Medford Leas meets my requirements. "

"I was very impressed with Lima Estates. It was lovely, and if I ever decide to do anything, I might consider this facility. It’s right down the road where I live now, so it’s very convenient for me. It was very lovely. Everybody was wonderful. They invited me for a meal when I was there, and it was delicious. "

"The Granite Farms Estates was very nice, very open, and had very large areas for people to meet. I have a friend there, so I saw what it was like too. She was in the memory care and she was alone by herself but her room was too small. The hallways and other areas were big though. I also had lunch with her and the food was good. The facility was just a rectangular-shaped building so it was not as attractive as the other facilities we looked at, but it's less than a mile away from the nearest hospital."

"Dunwoody Village is really nice. Unfortunately, it's overpriced for what we needed. They have a memory care unit, a pool, physical therapy, and nice grounds. The memory care has a community dining area. Nothing fancy, just tables and chairs. They're really expensive. "

"I visited Waverly Heights. It's a bit expensive but very attractive physically both the grounds and the buildings. It was an old estate that was converted, so some of the buildings are unusual in terms of architecture. Their food is quite good, I've eaten there. I have some friends who live there so I've been there socially. They seem very happy about the staff. They have a lot of activities and groups that get together like discussion groups, they have a fair amount of that. They also have gardens."

"My mother is having physical therapy at Wesley Enhanced Living Pennypack Park. They have long-term care, personal care, and physical therapy unit. They have people who just retired, and they have apartments there, too. I was pleased with it. Everything is clean. They're really thorough. They clean a lot and you can tell. It's two people in a room, but it's divided by a wall, so it gives her own little nook and it's cozy. They have a lot of activities. We're pleased and she's pleased. They have people performing, exercise class, Catholic mass, and a hair salon. She likes the way that they're helping her. She has to have her food pureed, and they've bent over backwards to figure all it out for her. She said the food is delicious."

"My experience with Beaumont at Bryn Mawr has been first class and five star. The sprawling grounds and beautiful facilities are spectacular. When my grandmother moved there I was surprised at how many of my parents' friends had retired and were living in this vibrant yet relaxed community.The activities are plentiful and varied for residents of all abilities. There lectures, social events, entertainment and physical activities.The staff is professional, compassionate and experience with both end-of-life and rehabilitation issues. The doctors are knowledgeable and accessible and the nursing staff is very attentive.The facilities are very beautiful and exceptionally clean.The food is excellent and there are a wide variety of choices. The restaurants are so good hat I joined my family members there several times a week.WHile recovering from major back surgery my father wanted to go home but the surgeon recommended Beaumont. He immediately took to the environment and loved the service and ease of access to physical therapy. He thrived and recovered very quickly.Altogether, I can not imagine a better facility. "

"I will be moving into Cathedral Village. What I like about it is its reputation. I've had a couple of friends who have stayed there for an extended period. I like where it's located. It's near where I currently live, so I will not be moving out of my neighborhood, and that works for me. It's near to supermarkets, and I'm familiar with and whatnot, that's the main thing. I'm familiar with the place, and I have been there a couple of times to visi friends. I like the atmosphere; the people are very nice. We met the people at the desk, and they're very nice to direct you around. We worked with the person who was showing us the apartment and stuff, and she was very helpful. The rooms were roomy enough and look comfortable. I'm meeting with the staff designer next week to select finishes because once somebody moves out, they will redo the apartment. I need to select what kind of finishes I need, what kind of floor, and other things I need. That's why my move-in is in May because they need to order, redecorate, and build the apartment to suit my needs. That's a big plus, that they will be accommodating my need. I'm not going into an apartment that's already just established and you take what you get. The dining area is nice. I did try the food a couple of years ago when I had a friend there. I went to the dining room with her, and the food is okay. They have something called Village University, and that's one of the good things they have. A lot of people are educated professors and students. They run a university, and they teach classes on various things. I saw one on the Constitution and a different social studies kind of thing. They have their own radio station or an in-house television channel; they have some residents running those. They also have a gym, swimming pool, and a big theater area where they have people come in, and do plays, and lectures. I met a couple of people in the hallway. We asked a lot of people in the hall when I was doing tours and whatnot, and they seemed nice and welcoming. The staff who gave me the tour was very helpful and responsive to questions, and readily supplied whatever information we needed."

"White Horse Village is nice but overpriced. It's very expensive, and we couldn't afford it. It's very clean and had nice facilities. I only met a couple of the staff who seemed nice. The grounds are very kept up and very nice. "
