My aunt has moved into Mountain View Assisted Living and Memory Care. I like the people. I like it. I'm happy with it. There's not much I don't like about it yet. The staff is accommodating, friendly, and caring. The rooms in memory care are small but adequate. At that point, they don't need much room. There are bigger ones, too. There are a lot of options for the rooms. Lately, there have been some complaints about the food. When she first moved in years ago, she was in assisted living, and the food was really good. I haven't tried it though. One of the residents was appalled because they had pancakes for lunch yesterday, but it was National Pancakes Day and they didn't know that. The dining area is adequate, but not as nice as in assisted living. The assisted living portion is very nice. The dining area in memory care is very small but adequate. It's just totally different. They provide them with stimulation, as far as games and they will take them to the assisted living area for certain activities. There's not a lot of participation from the people with gardens there, but they have flower beds and box gardens for just the aesthetics. It's clean and it's well kept.

Mountain View is a nice clean facility. The staff is wonderful. They are so kind and caring. Jeanette and Angie have been so helpful to me with my father. Each one of the caregivers is friendly, kind and Knowledgeable. It’s been quite a process with my father and they all have helped me during this very trying time. Thank you to all of you!

Mountain View was pretty expensive, but we really liked it. Everybody was very nice. The dining area looked great. They had laundry service, housekeeping services, activities, and hair and nail person for the women. The person who toured me around was wonderful.

Mountain View is fine. The apartments are very nice. My mom is in a one-bedroom. The setup is fine. They have entertainment, crafts, and movies. It is a very large facility. She has been there for four years now.

I toured Mountain View. The grounds were well kept and very clean. The staff answered all my questions. The rooms were not large, but I was happy with the rooms there. I don't need a large room for myself. They had everything that I would want like a walk-in closet. It had a door that would let you walk into the hall and a door that would take you to the common area that was landscaped and shaded. It was quite comfortable. They had a dining area, which I thought was adequate. I had eaten there and the food was not like home cook, but it was adequate also. They had an activities director and activities room. However, though they had activities, you do not have a choice. So, they could do a little more on the activities. They had nurses and medical person during the daytime, but not at night. So, 24-hour access to medical facilities really doesn’t exist there. During an emergency, the best that they could do was to take you to hospital, which was a mile and a half away or call an ambulance for you.

I chose this facility because I live in Ukiah and I want my dad to be close to me. Also there are only a couple of assisted living facilities here and that is the first I went to that has an opening. The facility is very clean. They keep everything immaculate. Everything my father needs are in this facility. It is also a very quiet place. I'm very pleased with it. The best thing about this facility is that everybody is so friendly. Everybody knows everybody. Whenever my dad is down the hall, they would greet him. He is also invited to all of their activities. Everyone just feels very welcome there. It is just a very friendly community. The rooms are very clean and neat. My dad has a room that has a beautiful view out in the courtyard area. Their staff is always there to assist him. I'm happy with where my dad is staying now and I'm glad that everything has worked out.

My grandmother is staying at Mountain View Senior Living after having suffered a debilitating stroke. When I went to visit her the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Upon arriving there they helped me find my grandmothers room and took me to see her. They had a common place where people who were living there could be together and play cards games, read, or do other activity. I have had experience with other assisted-living facilities in Ukiah and Mountain View Senior Living is by far the nicest facility in the area. Not only is the staff friendly, but they also allow the people living there to personally decorate their room and make the living experience as nice as possible for the people they are taking care of. While I was there I talked to some of the staff and they seemed to genuinely care about my grandmother and didn't just see her as someone they as someone they were paid to take care of. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care that my grandmother received from this assisted-living facility.

When I visited my grandmother there on several occasions, she seemed very happy to be there, and like she was really getting the care she needed. I spoke with several of the staff who were all extremely polite, caring, patient and overall just very people-friendly. I felt secure leaving her there, knowing she was safe and well-tended. She seemed to be making friends there and often expressed how nice it was to feel so loved and nurtured. The facility itself was kept extremely clean, and the general atmosphere and decoration was very home-y and comforting, almost like a spa in how they want you to feel comfortable there. The food was plentiful, never old and stale, and generally healthy. They also provide tailored meals based on every person's specific health and bodily needs, and always make sure you're getting your nutrients. Overall I'd say it's a great place and would recommend it to anyone who wants that security and relief of a caring environment.

I was not impressed with this facility. When my aunt needed a nurse she was not able to easily summon one. I had to go to the nurses station myself and interrupt a rude employee who was on the phone. I notified them my aunt had a bandage that had fallen off and was in need of changing (she had an open wound). The nurse rudely told me she would "see what she could do" and never came back to her room. Finally I was able to find a visiting doctor who agreed to fix the bandage, no nurse ever showed up. My aunt was not well taken care of and the staff did the minimum of serving food and cleaning bedding. If there had not been family coming to help my aunt she would have been in bad condition if left on her own. Not much assisting in this assisted living in my opinion. I would not recommend this facility unless you are able to assist your family member DAILY with routine needs as they may not be met by the staff who seems overwork and underpaid.
