I think the staff is fine. I like the Inn on the Boulevard much better than the place I was at. The service is questionable, but the food is OK. There are probably some rules about food that I care for. For instance, if you want some more of a particular dish, you can't really get it. I am very happy with the room and the sanitation. They keep it clean, they come in everyday and check, and they wash when you need it.

Our experience with The Inn on the Boulevard wasn't very good. They said they have activities, but they really don't have activities, and the food wasn't that good there. The staff seemed to be OK, Everybody was friendly, so it wasn't that bad. They have a library, and a nice patio area where they go out and sit.

The employees at Inn on the Boulevard Retirement Hotel were very friendly, but it felt like an old folks' home. We didn't see any activities going on, and we didn't see very many residents. We saw a lot of workers in the hallways, and they seemed busy and friendly. It just didn't work.

Inn on the Boulevard was less friendly, less clean and a little shabby. It smells like whatever deodorant they use rather than just fresh air. It doesn’t smell of hospital or old people but there’s a definite perfume in the air which I don’t love. The food is good. The room was quite fine. My stepmother did have one of the larger and more expensive rooms. There wasn’t enough room in the dining room for everybody with their walkers and their wheelchairs. There was permanent sitting at the meals which allowed for a bit of community development. The staff is not unfriendly but they are adequate, except they seem to be overworked and not as much attention is paid to the population.

We have a place for my mom at the Inn on the Boulevard. It's very nice. The food is really good. My mom is very happy there. The rooms and the accommodations are very nice. She's going to be moving to a different unit so she's closer to the dining hall. The overall building and the rooms itself are nice. I just liked the convenience, where it's at. They're very good as far as all the services they provide for my mother.

While the facility was brand new when my Mom was in early stages of dementia/Alzheimer's, the chief of staff provided personal, excellent care. Living some 400 miles away, this was of utmost importance to me!
