A friend's grandma stayed with them for a bit. From what I heard, she enjoyed the experience there. The staffs were friendly and the people there were very helpful for her. It was a nice place for her to interact with people when everyone at home is out working during the day. Just having people there to talk with her on a regular basis made a real difference in her outlook towards the end of her life. The center provides transportation, meals, and medical assistance if needed. Every once in a while, they would hold special events for the folks to take things off their minds and they would also take the folks out for a short field trip here and there to enjoy the sun. The process of getting into the program might be tedious and long but it's very well worth it if the person is always home alone and feels lonely.
