"Angel's Touch Assisted Living was absolutely fabulous. I didn't have any complaints. They were very caring. We had a four-day blizzard while he was there and I was very worried because I couldn't get there. I thought they must be shorthanded. One of the owners went out in their truck and picked up the workers and brought them home. They really liked my husband. There were times when we rang the bell that they didn't come immediately because they were caring for someone else, but they certainly tried. I couldn't ask for more. They fed them well and checked on them constantly. The staff was wonderful, caring, knowledgeable, and even new people who came in were learning things. They didn't have a big turnover. It was so clean. They had very nice religious services and they had activities, but he didn't really take part in most of that."

"We were pretty impressed with Emerald Bay Retirement Community, probably the biggest thing is that it has continuing care, and it's just a beautiful place. The entrance was very impressive and the people were very nice. Ali was the one who showed us around and she did a great job. The apartments or the units in there were very, very pleasant. It looks like it would be a very pleasant place to live. The level of care goes all the way through to life. You can stay there for a lifetime, and they'll take care of you however your care increases. They have live entertainment come in occasionally, they have an activity room with puzzles, books, games, and they have an area where there is a pool table, and people can get together and play cards. The therapy would be right there onsite, and there's a nice patio outside for the summertime. The meals, cleaning, cable TV, and heating were all included in their price. The staff was very good to work with."

"My mother moved to Emerald Shores. The care is very good and we're very happy with her there. Her room is very nice and has new carpeting; we're happy with it. She has memory issues, but the staff tries to keep her involved as much as possible. Their food is good. It's just a small community. They didn't have a specific library, but they have a lot of lounge areas. It's just about 20 beds and is in a rural area northeast of Wisconsin. They have outdoor areas."

"We chose Care Partners Assisted Living in Oconto, because I know other people that are there and it's local. It's not too far from my home, so I can just run over and see my dad. It's very convenient and he enjoys it there. They keep the place fairly clean and the staff has been very good. They checked on him frequently and gave him his medication. They have an area that he can go to and use their stuff and they also do activities, like exercising and music."

"Wayside Parkview Estates seemed like a nice place. It had a very friendly atmosphere. The staff members were very friendly and informative. It's a good tour of the rooms. They're more like one-bedroom apartments. They just showed me the room where they do activities. They have gardening. They had a dining area and an area where they could go outside with flowers. The facility was very well maintained."

"It was a clean place. The staff was real good, but it's just that they didn't have what we were looking for, which was a two-bedroom apartment. What they could offer us was, you have to go out to the hall to get to the second room, and my husband and I didn't like that idea. It's a nice area, but it was just a little far away from what we wanted to be, and that was another problem."

"The rooms are adequate. The food is awful. There are no activities. There are no housekeepers. I couldn't get help with anything. They constantly messed up my medications and towards the end of my stay they didn't have my medications. Some staff were nice, most were abusive. Glad I left"

"Care Partners Assisted Living in Appleton is a very nice place. We got a good feeling about the place and it was positive. The staff was very good. It seemed like they have a good assortment of activities."

"It had an opening so we chose Autumn's Promise for dad. It's a brand new facility that opened up June of last year. The facility itself is just beautiful. Everything is very nice. Rooms are good sized, bathrooms are very nice and big. The staff are very nice, helpful and caring. Food is very good. They have a community and theater room. They have daily and monthly activities. They take them out if they want to and something going on every day. The best thing is the location. "

"My mother moved into a place called Caraton Commons Green Bay. She's there for assisted living. I went and looked at it and liked the people and the facility. The staff is also great. The place is under remodeling, so it's going to be even nicer than it is now. It's a lot better than the other facilities my mother was in, and the quality of care that she's getting right now is good. When she needed help, the staff would go and help her. Her care is so much better here. My mother was a cook and she has not complained once about the food. She's even gained a few pounds since she's been there. They're in the process of remodeling, so from time to time it's noisy, but for the most part, you can't tell that they are under construction unless you see the construction trucks there. The place is kept spotless. There's no construction dust or anything lying around. It's clean, and the floors are spotless all the time. The activities lady is a wonderful person. She'll just drop in and talk to my mother. My mother is almost blind, so as far as getting involved in activities, she can't, because she can't see the playing cards. However, they'll go and get her so she can sit there and listen to them play cards and get involved in the conversation. They're strictly taking a certain amount that is provided by her insurance, and they're not asking for anything other than if she needs something, which they tell us to get. That's about it. It's a small community with a total of maybe 26 residents, but the care is better than being in a huge one."

"The rooms at Agewell Centre for Life Enrichment were very nice. Everybody was very nice when I was there. The food was good, and everything was gorgeous there too. One thing they had was a Sheephead Club, and this is a card game that I like to play, which is why I remember this one. "

"Bornemann's Nursing Home has been very good to both my mom and dad. The staff is very attentive to my dad who has dementia. Most of the staff is very kind and considerate to my mom .The facility is very clean and always smells clean. If there ever is a concern the staff is very good about checking into the situation and the problem is usually resolved quickly. I am very happy with Bornemann's care and highly recommend the facility. "

"My dad moved into The Autumn Fields of Luxemburg. It was convenient, all the family members can visit, and they really do a lot of activities with the residents, they really take good care of them. It's small, the staff is kind and caring, and the facility is very nice. My dad is very satisfied with the food. We're happy with them. They do trivia with them, they play cards, and exercises as a group."
