"Upon my first visit to this facility I noticed that they patients seemed very happy. I noticed that on one instance that a female resident was having a bad day was confused, and asking for her dead husband; the tech that was taking care of that female resident sat down with her and talked to her o comfort her. Many of the residents were up and enjoying activites. This was very refreshing to see. I highly recomend this facility for a happy healthy family member. "

"I have visited patients in this facility two different time last week. This facility seemed to be very nice, clean, and updated. It appears Almost brand new. My patient had his airconditioner to go out and within twenty minutes someone was in their attemping to fix the issue. While this was being fixed the dietician came and asked the patient I was caring for what he wanted for lunch and where he would like to eat. He chose a club with turkey and soup. Within fifteen minutes the lunch was in his room and he was "supervising" the man fixing his air. The staff was very efficient nd reliable. This is an amazing facility. "

"Upon my arrival at this facility I was greeted by many smiling faces. The staff was very professional and friendly. I even felt like I had just walked into my grandmothers house. The patient I was there to see was very happy. She appeared very well taken care of. She was changed if she had soiled herself very promptly. She was taken to do crafts while I was there and said it was one of her favorite parts of the week. "

"My father is in Mabry Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. It's a family-owned nursing home, and it is extremely clean. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. The staff was attentive to the patients. When we were there, they were doing some remodeling and repainting. They had several housekeepers going around and cleaning. They do a lot of activities with the patients. They were playing bingo when we were there. They do special events a lot. They do a lot of decorations and things like that for the different seasons. They were taking down the Halloween decorations and putting up Christmas decorations when we were there. Some of the food looked good. I didn't taste any of it, but the staff eats there. My grandmother was there when she passed and then my mom's parents were there when they passed and they were taken very good care of."

"McKendree Village exceeded our expectation. It’s on a 47 acre campus. They have about 200 independent residents in a 19 story tower. They have all kinds of activities; you can do two or three things. They have game rooms, coffee, and newspaper. Every week they take them to a local restaurant in Nashville and dine if you want to sign up for it. Their dining is open from 7AM to 8PM continuous with very extensive venue for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can go eat lunch at 3 in the afternoon. The people were friendly, there were people doing activities, we saw a sewing room, computer rooms with computers and printers. The coffee is free in the coffee room. They have medical people because they do have a skilled nursing on site, and there is a huge church on site and 7 acre woods for walking around. They have two to three things in the afternoon. "

"This facility was very tidy. The residents were up and about. Some were playing cards, some were just chatting. Their caregivers were right there with them making the residents feel they were right at home. Everyone of the staff I met were very nice. The patients seemed extremely happy. No one that I saw on my visit was dirty or soiled. "

"We have chosen Charter Senior Living of Cookeville for my mom. The staff members were all very nice, very friendly, and very good at showing us all the activities and introducing us to some of the other residents that were sitting out in the hallway. It ended up that my mom knew one of them when they were both working, so I think they would get acquainted when she gets over there. The rooms were nice. We looked at a one-bedroom and a studio. We were interested in a one-bedroom simply because it was bigger and it would give her more space. It wasn't furnished, so you had to bring your own furniture, which she would want, anyway. The dining area was very nice. It looked like a fancy hotel dining room. One day when I was there, they had a new dish and they brought it in for the two people I was meeting with to try, and it was delicious. It was good. The grounds were beautiful. They were well-kept. They had bird feeders everywhere. They have a pond with ducks in it. It was very nice and peaceful. They have a nice outdoor sitting area. At the time, they were doing some kind of craft, and then in another room, there was a table of ladies playing cards."

"My mother and father-in-law had been at Heritage Pointe Senior Living before. They were very comfortable that they knew the staff and the facility worked with us on pricing so we went back. The staff treats them well. Their room is a larger studio than normal; the food is not great. They have bingo, exercise, and music and they do Wii bowling. "

"My mother is now at NHC Place, Sumner. So far, it has been phenomenal. The staff are really, really nice, and they work with her so well because she didn't come as far in her recovery as what we were hoping, and what she thought she could. They've just worked with her every step of the way. Food is very good, I think it's good, and they have a wide variety of choices. They have an activities director, and she does the usual activities. She has the musical things, they have a theater, and she does game things. They also have the exercise program where they do like chair yoga, and they have a balance exercise group. They have enough for everybody. They have Bible study groups. They have things to keep them interested and busy. They have numerous outdoor areas like a courtyard, they have a movie theater, they have a game room, and they have a beautiful baby grand piano, and that's where they do their singing and their hymn singing. It's the staff that makes the whole place."

"This facility was very clean and the patients were very active. Several of the patients were up and playing cards or walking the halls. The care in this facility was very good. Many times I went into this facility and the patients were sitting with one of the staff members or walking down the hall talking. One lady was having a bad day and the staff took her out for a walk because she asked her to take he out. I loved the personal attention given at this facility. "
