"It was a very well run facility. The doctors and the staff were friendly and courteous. They were very helpful and informative. They gave me all information I asked for. They are good as far as state inspections go. They have not been cited for anything as far as violations go and they have not been sued for anything that I could find. It was everything I could have hoped for in a assisted living facility. Sadly my grandmother passed before she could be admitted. She would have really liked the place. The facility is really affordable and all the residents seem nice and friendly. All and all they seemed truly happy to be there and there were many activities for them to do. I would recommend this facility to any one looking to enter one of these facilities. Hatley's celebrates the patient's life and assists patient with everyday activities not do it all for them. "

"The Gardens have been a wonderful, caring facility for our mother. The staff all care deeply for the residents, and provide excellent service for all of those in their community. There are varied activities for the differing skills and abilities of all the members of the community. All members are encouraged to participate in all the activities. The food has always been excellent, with the family meals being exceptional. "

"My father is in an assisted living place called Bella Wood Senior Living. The room he's in has been freshly painted. It is an older house but he has his own bathroom and shower. Not all the rooms in there have their own bathroom, but his room does. The dining area is clean and freshly mopped every time I go but the carpet needs redone. The staff have been very friendly and helpful. They have a day room with television, puzzles, and games. I've seen them do that. They also have a front porch where the residents would be out rocking and just be outside. It's a lot less expensive than other places and everything is already included."

"My father was in Columbiana Health and Rehabilitation, Llc for three weeks. The people were very friendly and looked after the patients well. The staff was efficient and very kind. It was more of a family setting than a nursing home or facility setting. He thought the food was good. They had some outdoor spaces. They had multiple rooms and multiple things going on. It was a nice place to be. It was highly recommended to us for his situation."

"We toured Merry Wood Lodge Care and Rehabilitation Center. It's very clean. The one thing that sold me on it is the smell. The smell is beautiful. It's not a filthy, nasty urine smell, or anything like that. My husband will have a roommate who is a disabled veteran. So that will help him out a lot. There are approximately only 20 people in the memory care center. The staff was wonderful."

"I had no idea that it was even there. It's hidden in a wooded area off Main St and I was greatly impressed with the staff and layout of the facility. It's more like a family home really than a facility. My cousin that has Parkinsons is there and really loves it. The staff was very attentive and kind. I can't speak to the food cause I didn't eat a meal but Jennifer did offer us a dessert that was delightful. My mother had a major stroke and was at a nursing home in Montgomery and I would have loved for her to be in a small home like this if she could have gotten the medical care she needed. I gave the review 4 stars instead of 5 due to it being just a little "dated" in the decor which is purely cosmetic. First impression was great mainly because the staff was so kind and caring. His room was an adequate size with a large bathroom with walk in shower and plenty of rails for stability. Everything from meals to laundry was provided. "

"My father was at Prattville Health And Rehabilitation for about 3 weeks. It wasn't that the CNA staff wasn't capable, it was that they had too many patients. They weren't able to take care of the patients. I had to stay with my father 24/7 round the clock for him to receive what I consider appropriate care. The rehabilitation people, the physical therapists, and the occupational therapists were wonderful. It was just that the place was understaffed. The building and the facilities needed to be updated. My father's room was acceptable. I wouldn't call it anything extravagant. The food was also fair. Some days were better than others, but they were adequate. Their idea of an activity was to roll the elderly people in the middle of a tiny room and watch TV. Half of them were lethargic and smelled like urine. Overall, the staff was nice and seemed capable. But they change my father at 5:00 in the afternoon when they bring him his supper tray and the next morning at 6:00, the supper tray is still there. He's supposed to be changed every 2 to 3 hours. And if I had not been there, he would be sitting in a soiled bed. It was not acceptable, and that happened more than once. And on the weekends, it was really bad. There were no RNs there. There was an LPN that sat at the nurse's station and the rest of them were CNAs. The LPN never did any work. The CNAs did the work and some of the CNAs had anywhere upwards to 18 patients, and that's not acceptable. We had some good CNAs, it's just that they couldn't get around to everyone."

"My grandmother is at Shelby Ridge Rehab Select. Everyone was very helpful and very welcoming, which I liked because we were very worried about her going into a facility. I immediately relaxed because they were very welcoming. It's very clean there. I was looking at that as well, and just overall helpful. My grandmother's room is very, very clean. It was just sanitized. It's very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and asked if we needed any help. My grandmother is 94, and they're like, 'Hi, honey,' and stuff like that, and so she likes that. She likes their food. It's a full menu. I was looking at it yesterday and I saw they had Salisbury steak, rice, vegetables, and different types of soups. They had it written on one of their bulletin boards what they were having that day."
