Adult Day Care Communities in Pearland, TX

"I was very impressed with the Cottages at Clear Lake, but it was a little costly. What stood out to me was the care that the patients were getting and that they were all active. They were engaged in an activity while I was there and having a good time. Their rooms were really nice, and they don’t really go to the rooms until at night when they go to bed. I met the chef and saw where they went to eat. The rooms were a good size, well-maintained, and very clean."

"I toured Everywhere Is Home Residential Assisted Living. I was kind of skeptical about it because when I drove up, it was just like a regular house. When I entered it, it was very clean. The man who assisted me was the one who owns and runs the place. He has a few nurses who work there, and they are only supposed to have about 7 residents at a time. It can hold up to 8, but he just prefers to leave it at 7, and he puts two people in one bedroom. The place was nice and didn't seem to be that big. It's just a normal home with a kitchen and a bathroom that they remodel so they could put an actual wheelchair in them to bathe the residents. You have privacy when the door is closed, but the bathroom itself is all open. The owner was a very helpful person and really wanted to work with me, but it was out-of-pocket pay and more than I could afford. The people who were there were more like towards the end of life, to me. It's like hospice care, in a way. That's the kind of image I had about this facility. It was a nice place for somebody who needs that type of care. The physical appearance of the facility was just okay. It had beds, a TV, a dining table, and a little living room."

"I visited this place recently; It seemed very crowded and there did not seem to be enough staff taking care of the clients. "

"Do not, if you don’t won’t them to get hurt, please don’t bring them here. It’s all about the money with this company. Not enough staff, and they hirer anyone to work with theses special adults. Please find somewhere else to your family members. There is no compassion!! They threaten you about taken them out of their facility due to disagreement, no contact, just disagreement. "

"We went to see Johnson and Johnson Adult Day Care. It was nice, and it was really good. My mom just can't get used to the idea of my dad going into a facility yet. The only thing I didn't like is that it seems to me that they weren't following Covid policy. That was the only thing that I didn't care for. I didn't see any social distancing and there were no masks. I've met the manager, the director, and a couple of staff members and they're all very kind."

"They have a lot of costume and musicals. In fact, today, they are having cowboys come to see the elders and stuff like that. They have parties and birthday parties, and they had a big Christmas get-together. They do coloring, sewing, painting, and gardening, and they have tea parties -- just different things. They have people come in with music for them. Sometimes, they have a Mexican Day, Mexican Food Day, an Italian Day, and stuff like that. It is a good center. Mom always comes out smiling. They make sure she is always dry when she comes out, they change her, and she is very comfortable. She knows all the people there, and she is happy. They are very attentive. "
