"We toured A1 Senior Living. My friend did not like it because it was more for memory care. I'm not saying bad about it, and everything was okay. We checked the assisted living area. The rooms were very nice. They're individual rooms. The staff who gave us the tour was very nice and very educated. They have enough amenities. The staff were very good."

"I like the setup of the facility. The Manager and Nurse were very friendly and seem to like my husband immediately. He adjusted well. I later met other staff members via phone who are also friendly and helpful. They seem to be a concerned and caring group. Always helpful and supportive. When I forget to tell them he has a different appointment, someone always call to check on him. We have no complaints. He has been attending over two years"

"I brought my mother here because she cannot be alone all day while I'm at work. The facility is bright and sunny, as is the staff. It was refreshing to hear my mother talk about the variety of activities she had taken part in by the end of her day. She ate well, and was given her medication. What a load off of my mind. Highly recommend."

"Angel House is a lesser home type assisted living with a very cold atmosphere. During the day when the resident "activity schedule" read that there is an activity scheduled for that designated time all of the residents were in their rooms with their doors closed. During my hour visit in the mid morning I was told that all of the residents were in their rooms sleeping. I did stay until lunch was served and the lunch was a very thin sandwich and water. During the lunch service there were residents that really needed assistance eating and no assistance was offered so they just struggled on their own. The residents appeared to be clean and dressed appropriatly. During my tour I was told by two staff members that they are very unhappy employees because they are taken advantage of and paid poorly for long hours worked. The workers on staff appeared very quiet and lifeless, rarely smiling. The owner that offered the tour frequently interrupted the tour with phone calls and complained about the staff saying "It is almost impossible to fine good help" I was also told by one of the staff members that many of the outside regulatory agencies have been called in due to various problems within the facility. The facility does not accept nighttime wanderers and the owner requests that the residents that may wander be medicated to assist in sleeping throughout the night. My overall opinion of this facility is to stay clear and continue to look elsewhere. "

"I got spoiled going to the Southwest Focal Point Senior Center. They had just a day favorite activities and everything. Before I had physical problems, I went there three times a week, and I had so much fun. They had bingo and exercise. They had so many people. They had buses that would pick us up and took us there by nine o'clock in the morning and they brought us home around three, four or five in the afternoon. I was impressed by it when I first walked in. It was like a big rotunda. They had various offices that were kind of scattered around. They offered craft classes and painting classes. They had exercise room, and their big auditorium had a stage. They had meals on wheels, and we all ate there in a big table. After that would be bingo. It was like my day was filled. They also had a little restaurant in there if you do not want the meals on wheels, and they had nice people. They had sandwiches, fruits, and things like that for lunch or dinner, or you could bring your own if you wanted to because they had microwave you could heat it up with. They had people that came over. They had a daycare center around in the back. "

"We chose Miami Jewish Home and Hospice because it was convenient, and the therapist knows my relative already. They have a variety of food. All of the CNAs and nurses are extremely helpful and sympathetic. The therapy is very good. "

"Heartland is highly recommended by two social workers and my daughter and I went to check it out. It's basically a rehab nursing facility with a dementia facility. I like everything about them. The care my husband is getting is almost like a one on one care. After a week, I had an evaluation on him and talked to the nutritionist, the psychologist and four other people about his daily activities. I told them I was very happy. "
