We had Goodwin House Alexandria hospice for Mom. They provided all the supplies and we never needed to worry about those. I couldn't leave my mom alone, and I didn't have any help, so the pharmaceuticals were delivered to the house, and they were quick with their responses. The social worker went above and beyond. Everyone was caring. They were wonderful. They offer group counseling, which I didn't need. The therapeutic massage person contacted me and asked if I wanted her to come to give me a therapeutic massage. They even have aftercare. The night Mother passed, my brother and I were both here with her. I called the nurse and unfortunately, it was a very busy night. She had been at two houses and was still at when the person was passing. But she came here as soon as she was done, and she helped me get my mother cleaned up and ready for the cremation to come and pick her up. Even though it was a busy night, the nurse made it a priority to come and help me.
