We have hired Visiting Angels for my mom. I had them at two different times, and we're just starting back up with them. This last time we had them, we had them for probably a month or so. Before that, we were with them for a year or so. They take care of my mom while I'm at work. They help her take care of her chores like making the bed, doing the dishes, the laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning the bathroom. All of that stuff is what they do for her. I chose them because I needed somebody to help her do her vitals. They're the only ones that I found that were able to do that. The caregivers are excellent. They're excellent. My mom's got dementia, so they're very patient and very knowledgeable on what needs to be done from dementia's standpoint. So, they do help her the best that they can. I know that they've had a lot of problems with staffing and it's taken us a while to get some good, stable people at my place. I've been there about a month now and I just barely got somebody pretty stable that's satisfactory to what we're doing.

I can't reach up high and I can't climb up on my stool to clean or put things on my cupboard, so they help with that and they make my bed. They're very flexible in what they'll do for you. It doesn't have to be exactly the same thing every time. They're very conscientious.
