Mother has been using Independence for 6 months or so. The nurse has been very accommodating to Mother's schedule. She likes to receive visits early in the morning and every agency that I tried in the past wanted to start at 9:00am. She prefers early in the morning around 7:00am and the nurse accommodates that. In the past, she came in the afternoon. The doctor switched her insulin shots to once a day only and she was able to accommodate my mother. When Mother has other appointments, the nurse comes either earlier or later to accommodate her. When Mother had an infection, she didn't want to be in the hospital. She decided to do home infusion and she accommodated that again. She came every day, did the medication through the infusion and Mother was very pleased. She prefers her own place rather than being in a hospital or in a nursing home. If anybody asked me, I recommend Independence. They are really nice and really kind. In the other agency, my mother had four emergencies in five months because they didn't control the blood pressure, the blood sugar and the infection. My mother has recurrent urinary tract infection. With Independence, Mother never went back to the hospital. She didn't have any more emergencies. We are so happy.
