Grace Hospice was recommended by the memory-care facility mom, and they were perfect, wonderful, and great. They have a staff member there, there is a wonderful ratio of Grace Hospice employees to patients that are on hospice, and because of that my mom gets a lot more attention. People are speaking directly to her, engaging her, and they keep better track of her. She is not able to communicate for herself, and they can tell when she feels good and when she doesn’t. They are providing pain medicine and just giving her the best quality of life that she could have given the late stage dementia. Their staff members come to me but I have met their chaplain, their social services director, and their nurses that are there and then they have some folks as skilled as the two leads and they help with feeding and caring.
