Home Instead - Cleveland, TN has been caring for my mother. We've been using them for a couple of weeks now. They're very personable. Cherie, the lady that we work with to get everything set up, was very helpful, very considerate, and very respectful of my mother's situation. The caregiver, Yong, was phenomenal. She came in and as soon as she stepped in the door, did everything that she saw needed to be done and didn't have to be asked to do anything. She was fabulous. They provide general caregiving, housework, meal prep, and help her get dressed in the mornings. They come out Monday through Friday, five days a week.

I have a caregiver for my husband from Home Instead. It's been three months now. The service is very good. It is accurate. She's always on time. She is very good with my husband. She listens to him. She helps him with his thoughts. He has Alzheimer's, and so she really helps him when he gets confused. I have 13 hours a week, usually divided into three days, four hours for two days and five hours for one day. I only ask for help with him, like they chauffer him around, take him here or there wherever I ask them to, or stay at home with him while I leave. She listens very carefully to him and tries to meet all of his needs. She's real good with him. Her name is Joanna.

We're using Home Instead for my husband. It's close to a year now. They help and are willing to help in whatever way you need them to. Services include sitting with the patient and helping when I need help with him, to turn him or to change him, or bathing. I'm currently using them five days a week. If I ask them do something extra, they would. If I needed something small around the house or if I need to leave, they could get some food for him or if I needed a room vacuum, they could do that. We're using Home Instead for my husband. He has Parkinson's and Serena is the caregiver. She's been with us for two years and she's fantastic. She hasn't missed a day. She does anything and everything that I need done. I've never had anyone, even a family member, as close as we have become with her. She's very trustworthy. My husband and I both think the world of her. She's just great. My husband has a lot of other things going on with him. He has trouble breathing and he doesn't get on the phone. I have to handle everything, but Serena has been handling a lot of his medical things for us because I have problems myself. She comes four times a week four hours a day. She helps my husband when he gets up and down. She takes him outside if he needs to be bathed. She changes his sheets and she picks his food for him. If he can't feed himself, she'll help feed him. Anything he needs done, she's there for him. She helps in cleaning up in the house, vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom and washing some of his clothes and bedding. There's a lot of domestic things that has to be done in the house too. When he has a doctor's appointment, if he needs transportation, she'll take him to his appointment. She also picks up medication if it needs to be and she picks up things at the grocery if need be.
