current grandma of a client not at all impressed by the nursing staff my daughter is a mom of a special needs child the agency has turned her in to Children services for refusal of appointments she is not refusing when she is not at home she is over an hour away at Doctor appointments. she has been told they would be at her home between 10 an noon we pulled in at 945 and the nurse was in her car leaving they then called saying she refused the appointment. The nurse is supposed to come weekly to give her an injection that has to be weekly not every 10 or 12 days its only good for 7 days just show up and do your job.

This agency is absolutely amazing! from the office staff to the field worker! very caring, attentive and respectful! major improvements and very happy to see such a successful company grow!

I do NOT recommend this agency. Half of the time the day time aides never showed up for their shifts. he night aide used to come more regularly but just sat and watched TV for 2 hours on the bed with my parent and leave. None of the aides ever came trained in the use of a hoyer and couldn't transport. None of the aides wanted to do any light cleaning. Toilets grew mold, furniture always was full of dust. The only thing that they did do was throw the clothes into the washer or dryer. There was such a high turnover of aides and even nurses. We had 10 nurses in 2 years and 20+ aides during the same time. My parents barely ate any food every day and it got worse as their appetites diminished. An aide would bring a salad from McDonalds or a yogurt or heat up a wheels on meals snack but it wasn't enough food and no one wanted to cook for them. When we bought fresh food it would just rot in the refrigerator. The aides never changed or threw out the plastic cups or straws and my parent developed a horrible case of thrush and couldn't swallow or eat. I could see that there was too much of a financial interest for the agency to keep my parents at home and pacify them whenever I expressed my grave concerns to the nurses. It was obvious that both parents needed more skilled care but the nurses would say that they had to listen to them and not me. When one of my parents needed to go to a hospital the nurses would just pacify my parents and not send them when they would say: "Oh, I don't want to go to the hospital". The nurses would leave their medicine out on the dresser but the aides would forget to remind them to take it. My father would give my mother a handful of pain pills (so that she wouldn't bother him) and she would forget that she took a pill an hour ago and she would eat them like tic-tacs. My father would take his 25 vitamins a day BESIDES his 20 prescribed pills and he poisoned himself and we found him hallucinating. It wasn't until the right social worker saw what was happening and not until both of my parents almost died within 3 weeks of each other that we were able to get them out of their house and away from this home health care agency's control. Both parents were admitted to the hospital with severe malnutrition, severe dehydration, failure to thrive, overdose of vitamins and medicines that we were finally able to get them out of of their home permanently. The agency should have refused to take on my both of parents cases for ethical reasons. Both of my parents had needs that were way beyond any care that this agency could provide but there was just too much money to make off of them to refuse their case. Now that I see all of the bills and what they were charging, this agency was charging Medicare over $16,000 a month for the two of them to stay at home. For another $1,000 or 2,000, they are now getting 24 hour round the clock care in the skilled nursing home where they belong, They are both down to only about 5 pills a day each and are in 100 times better shape than they ever were at home with this ridiculous home health care agency.
