Many caregivers with little to absolutely no experience. Very little training for caregivers and no oversight of caregivers.

Leaves it to user of services to sort out if the caregiver can cook. Our present caregiver is very personable and very responsible.

If it wasn't for Evette coming twice a week to stay with my father I wouldn't get the time needed for me. She is wonderful with him.

I would be unable to live in my home if I did not have Maxine. She helps me with my chores. She enables me to stay in my home.

Finding the right care giver is very personal and we have gone through several to find the ones that have stayed. It took a while with some, others it was instant like or dislike. Don’t ever feel bad if you know it is’nt working.....call the agency and they will work with you to find the right fit.they are there to help, don’t feel uncomfortable asking when you need it.

I used Home Instead. I was very satisfied with the service. I had eye surgery, and I needed somebody to take me there and stay with me while the surgery was performed and bring me home, then, picked me up again next morning and take me to the doctors for follow-up. My caregiver was a young lady, and she great. She was very nice and very helpful. I really couldn?t ask for a better service.

Our care provider for my 86 year old dad is wonderful. The care he provides my dad is first class. He comes twice a week to bath him and change his bes linens and clean his bathroom. He always lets me know if there are any areas on my dad i should be concerned with. He interacts with my dad very well, they continually talk about different things and my dad continually tells me how much he likes his caregiver. He is now giving me a 4 hour respite every 2 weeks so the two of them sit and solve the worlds problems and it is a real pick me up for my dad.

I've never written a review for anything, ever, but in this case I felt I had to. Home Instead came highly recommend by two co-workers for in home care for my elderly parent. I interviewed and hired them on the spot. They said they could deliver everything I told them I needed for my aging parent living at home. Within one month I realized that I needed to lower my expectations and not complain or give feedback on the care that was being given/not given. There were multiple days (3) that couldn't be covered by a caregiver capable of caring for my parent, as promised. They were always working on the schedule a day or two in advance...even though we had a set schedule. I was constantly getting phone calls that the caregiver as lost or couldn't get in the house or wouldn't go in because we have dogs., or couldn't get my parent up from a chair or bed or commode. We are now with a different company.

I never had a reason to have caregivers before my husband's fall, but I would highly recommend Home Instead Senior Care to anyone needing quality home care for themselves or a loved one. I first met these wonderful people in the nursing home where my husband was staying. I knew he would need constant care when he returned home and they have provided it in every way. The caregivers are wonderful trustworthy people who you can welcome into your home knowing you or your loved one will have excellent care. At first it was overnight care, bathing, and transportation to the Dr's, etc that required different people each time until I was able to take over his care. Now he is partly with the VA Admin who provides me with a lady who transported him to the Dr. the last time, almost a year ago, who comes every other week to make sure he doesn't fall, that he takes his medication, keeps him company, and does light housekeeping chores while I run errands or shop for 4 hours. She has now become like part of our family. Thanks Home Instead!! jvw
