We had hospice care from Munson Healthcare Hospice for my mom at the nursing home. I think they were coming in two to three times a week. They were checking her vitals for us. They supplied us with a hospital bed and a walker, which we weren't able to use. They supplied us with a wheelchair. A nurse came out and visited with her three times a week. Once they came in and checked her vitals, they stayed and talked with her or tried to talk with her as much as they could. I'm not sure if they had an aide come out and help with my mom's bathing. The staff members were very friendly. My dad was there, so they spoke to my dad a lot. They're very nice to him. They made sure that he understood what was going on. They always sat with him, talked to him, and explained everything that they were doing or anything that was going on or any changes in her health there. After my mom passed away, the hospice nurse came to check her, and they were very, very sweet to my dad. We didn't get to this point, but they also said that they would have sat down and helped us fill out Medicaid information to get that process started. They were very helpful, not just with my mom's care but with the other things that go along with it.
