I used BrightCare Home Care - Metairie, LA, for my wife. The person that they assigned to us was unwilling to drive my wife to the doctor's appointments because, in the past, she had an instance where someone bumped into the back of her car at a stop sign. The person she was conveying back home from the doctor's office got out of the car and walked the rest of the way home because she was frightened. And so, not because of her fault, but because of that particular instance, she was unwilling to do that again because it was quite frightful when she lost her passenger. So, we didn't have that service as part of the package. I had to continue to bring my wife to her appointments. Otherwise, we were totally satisfied. My wife received non-medical services like light housework and looking after her safety because she was prone to falling. They assisted her with walking, toiletries, and bathing. We had the opportunity to communicate either by email, text message, or through person-to-person phone calls. They seemed to be quite efficient in getting messages delivered and so forth. We did have a few issues with making payments, mostly because their software was down a few times. We had to make one payment by writing a check rather than doing it by electronic methods through email, but that happened only once, and it wasn't a big deal, but it did happen.
