"I visited Care Partners Assisted Living in Weston. The tour went well. We were impressed with the facility and the price was reasonable. The facility is very nice. The amenities were very good, activity-wise. The room was of good size. It had enough room for him to do what he needed. It had a private bathroom and that's the one thing that impressed me. One of the nurses has gone through this issue that we are right now, very informative about what they do for the care of the person who is going to be living there, and answered our questions on a lot of stuff as far as doctors or whatever had to be done. The medical care was very informative."

"My grandfather lives in this care facility, and I have visited him several times here. The facilities themselves are very nice, and the common areas have a home-like feel to them. Everything is clean, modern, and well decorated. The staff have always been very friendly & helpful, and it seems like everyone works very hard to keep the residents active and engaged. The individual rooms/apartments are nice, but not very big. The kitchen especially is small, but since most meals are prepared for the residents I suppose that's not as important. There are several nice common/recreation areas throughout the facility, and there are plenty of places to walk outside the facility and in the surrounding area. All of the residents appeared to be happy and well cared for. The only improvements I would suggest would be to have more outdoor recreation space and perhaps make the apartments a little bigger-otherwise I have been consistently pleased with this facility! "

"My dad will be moving into Dimensions Living Stevens Point. The facility is cozy. The two women workers that we've dealt with are fantastic, friendly, kind, and caring. They have three meals a day, and the food is great. The room is cozy and clean. He's in a single bedroom, but it's called a deluxe. It's got a nice and huge walk-in closet. I love the whole setup. I love everything about it. I would move in there if I could. The dining area is huge and nice. They have four people to sit at a table. When they had a COVID situation before, everybody had eaten in their rooms. So they delivered them to their rooms. If you don't want to eat in the living room, you can eat in your bedroom, and they'll bring it to you. It's just fantastic. They have daily activities. There is a room for exercises with chairs that you can sit in. They have bands, noodles, and different things to stretch your arms with. They have a happy hour on Friday where they get wine or beer and music. They have an underground heated garage facility. My dad drives yet, so he has his own remote control, which will open up the garage door, and it'll close automatically after a few minutes or seconds. He has a little storage unit down there, which is heated. It's just probably one of the best places I've looked at. When we were there for a tour, they made my dad a beautiful doggy bag to take home in a Styrofoam container. He had a huge hunk of the liver with onions and bacon on it. He had squash as a piece of dessert. My dad said it was phenomenal. He hadn't even lived there yet, and they sent him home with his favorite meal. The facility was beautiful and well taken care of."

"I visited Golden Livingcenter. The staff seemed caring. They were able to answer my questions. Their rooms seemed to be clean, orderly, and adequate. They offered three meals a day. They had a calendar of events for the residents. Their physical therapy was the best in the city at that time when my friend was there. "

"She's not happy with the food at Aster Assisted Living of Marshfield. She's got two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchen. They have a dining area downstairs, it looks like a dining room, and it looks nice. They have two separate ones so they can keep people separated a little bit. In terms of value for the money, it's very expensive."

"My mom is staying in the Stoney River of Marshfield Memory Care. On five different occasions, we found medication lying on her floor. One time my cousin was there, she thought my mom had died. I think it's because she got somebody else's medicine. A couple of times, we also found dirty diapers in her drawers so I'm basing it on that. It has also happened more than once. There's also a urine smell. It depends on what shift but I would say for the most part, the staff were nice. I don't know if they do their jobs completely, though. When they worked with her, they were very friendly, very nice, and very caring, but there were too many young ones. I think that's where the medication got laid on the floor and I think that's why she wasn't bathed completely. It was more with the changing of the younger staff. The older ones were more professional. For food, I guess they did okay. I didn't see chicken or mashed potatoes, though. A lot of it was more like casserole types of dishes. They have an outdoor place, a tiny little garden, but no library or anything like that. It used to be an elegant place with chandeliers and all that but now the stuffing is coming out of the furniture in big amounts and it looks shabby. For activities, they have bingo and different music groups coming in. I think they did some craft stuff, too. The director who did them was wonderful but she just quit. We're paying almost $9,000 a month. I think when the patient is incontinent, they should be cleaned up. I don't think there should be smears on beds and dirty diapers in the drawers. I think for $9,000 you should get a little bit of better care. They could improve with their help and the care of the people. From what I've seen, they're always hiring for new housekeeping. My mom has 5 or 6 dirty cups in the sink or sitting around all over her room because they don't carry them out. I think they could improve on cleaning a little bit. The carpeting is also kind of worn. The furniture is another thing they could upgrade. It doesn't have to be brand-new stuff, but at least get something that doesn't look shabby."

"I toured Wells Nature View II. They were very pleasant, very willing to give us a tour, and wanted to make sure we had our questions answered. They put us on the waiting list and that kind of thing. The staff was knowledgeable. It was very much like home. It has a pleasant communal living room and library. They had a salon if a person needed her hair done. On each wing they had a little family room, TV puzzles, and a sunroom. The residents' rooms were very large."

"We visited the Safe Haven Senior Care assisted living facility while looking at new living options for our aunt. The staff was gracious and kind enough to let us stop in without an appointment. We could see that the facility can accommodate all levels of ambulation. There was also plenty of space to have cookouts, parties and picnics. The outside area was very well maintained and were easy access for residents, where they can enjoy walking around freely safely. All of the interior, including the foyer, was fresh and bright with very nice decorations and furniture. There was plenty of fresh air and light throughout. Rooms were all tastefully and comfortably decorated with nice furnishings. The colors used were soothing. The communal activity rooms were filled with comfortable furniture and spacious. The seniors can enjoy socializing, crafting, play games, watch TV and participate in a number of other regularly changing stimulating activities. The food appeared nicely presented and prepared and smelled delicious. The menus were interesting and had healthy food options for all diets. Healthy snacks were offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The fitness room includes bike, treadmill and weight training equipment. Residents can also take aerobics and yoga classes and take regular walks around the grounds safely. The residents go on many outings to the many Milwaukee art exhibits, music, book and other cultural happenings. They also routinely enjoy the many casual and fine dining restaurants offered in the area. The private living spaces featured plenty of space in nicely decorated surroundings. Each unit had natural light and fresh air with very comfortable furniture. The residents all looked content in this nicely designed living environment with considerate and kind staff. "

"Our experience of Serenity Living 2 has not been a good experience. The caregivers are very kind though. We weren't allowed to tour before my parents going there, and the living space is very, very small. My dad was put in a very, very small room. I have not tried the food myself, but my parents have told me that it's acceptable. The staff was kind. They were nice people. As for activities, my dad is not interested in activities, but on Friday, some women come out to play board games. If the outside women don't come in, there isn't anybody there so they don't have any activities for the residents. I think it's too expensive for what we get. I think it's far too costly for the services that they receive."

"Overall, my experience with this facility was thoroughly positive. The staff seemed to be caring and genuinely helpful, and answered any questions I had. Additionally, the presence of multiple cats seemed to bring a certain happiness to most of the residents, as they especially enjoyed petting them-although, this could cause problems with shedding, etc (of this I am not certain, just a possible consequence). A small room containing various board games, cards, and so on was present for any residents who wanted to play or-more pertinently-for young children visiting relatives, making it more family accessible. There was a nice area inside for residents to relax and converse, besides their rooms of course, albeit a bit small, bringing me to my one major qualm regarding the facility: it could have been a bit larger. Although, seeing as not many residents came to the 'livingroom' type area (at least when I was there), to relax, perhaps it was appropriately sized. I found the eating area to be adequately sized, with extra room if family of a resident wanted to eat. Additionally, there was a small shaded area outside for residents to enjoy the weather, and a walkway around the building for the residents to enjoy the sun. Overall, it seemed to be a very decent facility. "
