"My father has been at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Hillcrest for rehab. It was a long-term situation, but it was a good experience for the most part. We've been in there twice. The second time he had some health issues that caused a problem and he was put back in the hospital. It's a good facility. They did three hours of therapy per day, which was really good because that's more than you can ever get in an outpatient setting. It was about 100 times more than we got in either one of the other places we went that we were supposed to get rehab at. They also had a full-time doctor on-staff that came in every day and checked health issues and was able to prescribe medicines for and to treat the health issues while you were there. Just like a hospital type setting, you had your meals and you had regular treatments. It was a good setup. You could still get your medical stuff taken care of and get the rehab you needed, everything, all in one setting. For the most part, all the treatment personnel and the nurses and everybody that came and took care of him were really nice. I would rate them a five the first time we were there. The second time, because of all the medical issues and things that we were having to do to keep him from being discharged, which I had to appeal twice, I would have to say it was a three out of five. That's not anything against the treatment personnel. The treatment personnel were great, but the administration was horrible. I had to give the administration a one out of five, but the treatment personnel were so good. The workers and the nurses and everything were great. The administration had left something to be desired."

"Though I have not yet had an opportunity to visit the facility due to Covid restrictions and distance, I expect to do so within the next month or so now. I have POA for a resident there and am most impressed with the communications I receive from the staff during care plan and other routine calls associated with his activities there. "

"Excellent Facility! My mom is there it feels like an upscale hotel with the great food and rooms. The staff are so nice and attentive. They always have fun activities and have an onsite salon and manicurist."

"My friend is in The Brazos of Waco for a while. She is in rehab. It's a very beautiful place. It's new and very clean. However, I don't think they provide very good service to my friend, because she has told me that they're bad about doing her laundry and bad about getting their clothes back to her. They went for two weeks with three or four items of her clothing, and they never returned but one item. She also said that they don't supply the care she should be getting. Their therapy department doesn't work with her, as they should. They will just come in, get her out of bed, take her down to the therapy department and maybe work with her for about five minutes. They'll throw a ball back and forth to her and then determine that there's nothing they can do for her. I won't give them a high rating on taking care of people. My friend told me about the food and that it's not all that great. She said it's a lot of noodles and stuff like that. She doesn't think too highly of it. They have a pretty nice dining area, but she eats a lot there in her room that they have for her. Her room is pretty nice though. She said that they don't have a lot of activities like some of the other nursing homes that she had been in. The activities, at least on her part, are not all that great. They also charge more for their room rates than the other place does. I think they could improve if they would get better help and not use so many agency people because the agency people do not have concerns for their patients. And also, if they would work with families more. I've never talked to the administrator, and they've never reached out to me. The admitting lady, that is a liaison, she's very hard to get in touch with and talk to. They need to improve their staff, and the way they take care of people. They need to be more concerned. And on their therapy, they need to work with the people. I feel like they're just collecting the money and not doing their jobs correctly. "

"My parents have been at Emerald Cottages of Waco for several years now. They like it there. They like its location, their fellow residents, and they like the facilities. They like their apartments, it is very well done. It's upscale, for what it is. The facilities are nice, the grounds are nice, and the price reflects it. The staff is nice. However, since it's independent living, their interaction with the staff is more limited than it would be if they were in assisted living."

"The director of Arbor House of Waco was very informative and very nice. When we got there she met us right away. She pretty much answered most of the questions that we had. When we went on the tour through the facility, the residents were in their morning scripture reading, and they were all sitting around. That was nice. The facility was clean and small. I think they have 36 residents, so it wasn't too overwhelming. My husband really liked it. He thinks this would be a great fit for my dad, and they've kept in touch with us, but unfortunately it just didn't work out because Dad is diabetic. The director was excellent. She knew all the residents' names, which was really great. She introduced us to a lot of people right up front by their names. She didn't have to stop and go like, "What was your name?" I really liked her. It's a little bit older facility."

"This facility is like no other senrior care facility I have ever visited. Bentley House specializes in caring for alzheimer's and dementia patients. The furnishings are nice. The staff works hard to help their resident's live the most normal life that they can. They have the standard things like nutritous meals, exercise programs, medication management, etc. But in addition at Bentley House they have social activities and game nights that residents and their families participate in. The staff works closely with the families in their efforts to help their residents live their best lives while battling dementia and alzheimers, It takes special training and dedication to give these resindets the best care. The Bentley House staff has this training and dedication to their residents. "

"My mother was at Royal Manor nursing home before she passed away on July 26th. She was there for three years. I decided on this nursing home because it was just right down the street from my house at that time. She was there for a rehab but because she never really got any better, she just stayed there. It was an excellent facility. It was a wonderful place. My mom was in a semi-private room and everything about it was fine. Their staff was really caring. They're really nice. I was very happy with them. They did have activities for their patients, but unfortunately my mom didn't participate in any of them. Food was average. It wasn't wonderful. That was the only thing I was disappointed about this place. It could have been a little bit better. "

I'm thankful for the wonderful team at Hewitt Nursing and Rehabilitation who made the admission process for my family memeber as simple as possible and were more than happy to answer all the questions I had. "I have lived 3 years here and I love it. Very quiet place. Also, I like the Manager Ms. Frida. She is a very lovely person and always on top of things. "

"My husband is in a nursing home at Wesley Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare. He's been there for a couple of weeks now. It's excellent. There are no complaints whatsoever. He is in a locked-down unit because of his dementia and late-onset Alzheimer's. It's excellent. It's very, very nice, and I am very impressed with it, the building, the landscaping, the care that they give, and it's a very clean place. Their staff is excellent. They check on their patients every two hours. They take care of whatever needs the patient has. They're very caring people. They have excellent cuisine for the patients that are there. I sneaked some of my husband's dinner one time and overall, it's the best I've seen so far. Their food is excellent. They have an excellent chef. Because it's memory care, you find people in wheelchairs or Geri chairs or sitting around the community area. They have a big TV where people will sit. Otherwise, most of them are bedridden in their rooms. For what memory care is and whatnot, they have an excellent supply of needs for the patient in the room. They're small rooms. My husband shares the bathroom with the other male person on the other side of his room. It's like a suite and they share the bathroom. Furniture-wise, it's OK for what is needed for these types of patients. My husband happens to be a wanderer, and we had to move him to a facility that had a lockdown, and that's what Wesley Woods was. Value for money is excellent. For whatever we have to pay out of pocket, it is an excellent price and well worth it. It can be just a respite. If a family needs to go somewhere or on vacation, they can put them in this facility for the two weeks that they're gone, so that's an excellent value in itself. The people there are considerate because it's an excellent unit."

"Regent is very clean, and the staff is very helpful. My mother hates it because it’s an institution. Her room is very clean, and has a window. She hates the food, but I have eaten there several times. I did not find it objectionable. "

"My mother is staying at The Village at Providence Park. She has been there for a long time. It is sort of opened up now. They have been changing the rules and things have been improving. They had residents on lockdown like everybody else. She is in assisted living now, but she was in independent living. You could visit as long as your loved one is in independent living. They were not allowing any visitation in the assisted living side, but they have since loosened up. She likes it there. I was able to dine before Covid and the food was good. They have a very nice facility. I know they have alot of activities. They take them out places and they have a recreation center."
