Understaffed, generally, have to wait 30 to 40 minutes before someone comes to help assist to bathroom.

Cuero Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was a really fairly good place. I had a few problems whenever I visited my husband, sometimes when I would go there he would be laying there covered up. When I asked why he's laying there at that time of the day, they said that they asked him to go take a nap but then he'd lay there a long time. I understand that they were busy and were sometimes understaffed, but I saw a few things like that that I did not like. Their rooms were pretty good. I didn't like them having to share, but their shared rooms are probably because of Medicare. Their other rooms are pretty expensive and when we had to pay out of pocket to get a private room, it was very expensive. My bill would have been a thousand dollars more a month. Luckily, he got a roommate from the same town and they got along. I did not like the food, it was pretty tasty but it was salty and greasy. My husband kept gaining weight. He started out about 150 pounds, he was there for 6 months and by the time he got out he was already 209 pounds, so I'm not too happy about that either.
