"My aunt is staying at Signal Mountain Senior Living. She's happy there. She's met people. It's clean. They have lots of activities for them. They go on an excursion a couple of times a month. They take them on field trips and have different activities, like bingo, cards, and movie nights. They have flower arranging and different games and puzzles. They have live entertainment come in for them once in a while. They celebrate all the holidays. They have special dinners for different holidays and food festivals. The staff was very patient, fun, and accommodating. The food is good. They do have a salon, but they have a hard time keeping somebody working in the salon so that could use a little work. They have a physical therapy room, a library, and a movie room. They have a dining room and a beautiful area in the lobby where you can sit and visit."

"Summit View Senior Living has been good for my loved one for several years now. The rates are very reasonable comparable to other senior facilities in this area. It is a nonprofit, so it is not about making profits for owner or shareholder. The management and nursing staff has performed very well over the last three years during the Covid 19 pandemic. "

"My Mother moved into Wellington Place about two months ago. I drove all the way from Savannah Georgia to visit her a few weeks after she moved in to see how she was doing and check the place out. When I first pulled in the parking lot I wasn't too impressed with the building as it seemed pretty old and out-dated. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by a friendly lady and directed towards my Mother's room. As I walked to the room I was acknowledged by almost every resident there and they were all so very polite. My mother's room was decently spacious, even though she took up a lot of that space with her large amount of furniture she wanted to hold on to. My mother talked about how nice the workers there are and how she had made so many friends. This made me so happy to hear as I was worried she wouldn't enjoy assisted living. She talked about how she loves getting her hair done from the hairdressers that work there and how she loves the food they offer. I could honestly tell she was appreciating the food due to the obvious amount of weight she had put on. She said she exercises a lot and goes on walks every day with her friend 'Susan'. Overall, I was very relieved to see how well-run the place was and how happy my Mother was. I would recommend Wellington Place to any others out there considering having one of their loved ones move into a assisted living facility. "

"I like this facility. They give you two meals a day. It's right at the top of my list. It's clean, it looks like a modern hotel, and it's very friendly. The people there are friendly. I took a tour there. I looked at one bedrooms and studios, and the rooms are spacious. I prefer the one-bedroom. They allow dogs of which I have two of them. I have to pay extra for the second dog but that's fine. I like it. They have a little fenced-in dog park. It's also close to the theater if you want to go, but they also have a theater inside that seats about 15 to 20 people to watch movies if they want to. These are movies that have already been released and all. They don't have a swimming pool, but they have walking areas around that you can walk through. You can walk your dog there, or you can take your dog to that dog park. The staff who took me around was very friendly, very professional, and caring."

"When I arrived at Regency House, they had a desk to the right, and I asked for somebody to speak to, and their staff came while I was there. The facility had a flood, and it was under construction. They had moved half the residents to the other half. I don't know how they did that, but they had to move and shuffle people around. That's not their fault, but they're going to have to do something major to prevent it from flooding again. It was in our price range, so we were able to afford it, but there were no rooms available. So, we got on the waiting list, and they said it would be six months, probably before there would be any openings. The lady was nice. The people in the facility were a huge range of different types of people. They seem more dementia patients. I talked to a few of them while we were waiting. I would say that if that was my only choice, I might have put my dad there and his room would have been on the second floor, but I had another choice. The facility was clean, and it looked nice, but it wasn't upscale, like the other place I visited, which wouldn't matter to me, but it could matter to other people. People were in their rooms. The contractors were there making a lot of racket. They had a few people sitting in the dining room, and everybody else was in their room. The staff were very kind and very nice. I don't think it's a good idea to make a two-story house into an assisted living house. They put in the elevator, but I do think the stairs are a little dangerous for older people who don't have dementia and might use the stairs even if you tell them every day not to."

"I toured here. I toured the dining room and the place where they were doing the activities because it was New Year's Eve. Overall, I would say that it was nice, it looked like it had a lot of different options and it seemed pleasant. I'd say it was a good tour. The staff was very good, the tour guide seemed very accommodating, she inquired about us personally and let me know a lot about the pricing. It was a good experience although there were a couple of other people that just were not professional. They kind of didn't treat me like I'm nobody but they didn't really have anything to do with the tour. It was a very nice facility as far as having some very nice outdoor area where people can walk, they have a courtyard for each section. It was a little dated-looking initially when I first walked in but as I looked around, it was clean and very nice. I got the chance to check on the menu. In fact, the guide made a special point to show it to me on the wall and explain to me about the food. There was also a menu on the pamphlet that she sent me home with but I have not tried the food."

"I toured Ridge Manor Rossville's assisted living. The lady and the people who worked there were super nice. The people who were living there seemed really happy. They had very nice rooms. My husband would have to share a room, so I don't know if he would be for that or not. The facility was very clean and spacious."

"What I liked about Red Stone Estates was that it was so clean when you walk in. It's also very airy because there are a lot of windows, so you don't feel stifled. If there's anything I dislike, it has nothing to do with the home itself. It just has to do with the location because there's just really nowhere in Tennessee you can be without trees. There are just a lot of trees. The woman I was supposed to speak to at the time had an emergency, so she was unavailable. The young lady who took her place was very informative. She answered the questions I had, took us around, and was very professional. I had asked about the activities director and transportation. I do drive and have my own vehicle. I was just asking general questions and those were not put in place yet. I looked at their courtyard. They talked about if you have someone over or a family came that there was like an Airbnb type of apartments that you could use there. I like that along with parking and the doggy park. "

"My experience at Creekside at Shallowford was very good, and they had an apartment available. They have a common area, a chapel, and they do meals and provide housekeeping. The staff members seemed nice, but I only saw them from a distance, and only talked to the sales guy. They play bingo, do crafts, and they have live entertainment come in. I was very impressed with the facility."

"Ashwood Square was a grand place. I talked to several of the residents, and each and everyone of them was just thrilled to live there. They were quite pleased with their accommodations, with the food, with the atmosphere, with the community, with the other people, etc. It's a really nice place. My situation is a little different from the occupants there. I have a feeding tube and I do not eat at all. The location was great, too, for the people that are able to walk, and I'm a walker. I could walk down to the shops. There are multiple shopping facilities within walking distance. They have everything from a hair salon, to a barber shop, banking, fitness center, happy hour, and a movie theater."

"I toured Thrive at Brow Wood. The staff was helpful. She took us on a tour and told us the different things that they do. They have a Wii and my brother used to bowl. They had a Wii with a bowling app so that he could sit in his wheelchair and act like he was bowling. The facilities were great. The layout was good. They had a lady there who helped them paint and showed them how to paint pictures. The activities director was nice. While we were there, we got to watch him. They were dancing. They were doing karaoke. That was delightful."

"This company strives to have the best caregivers available by giving them top-notch training and supervision. They strive for client-satisfaction with compassion and respect. All of their caregivers are subjected to strict criminal background checks by a private investigator and given targeted training along with random drug tests. They are very compassionate people that love to serve the elderly and handicapped, and are creating jobs in the Sequatchie Valley. They can be completely trusted by your family. "

"I've been to NHC Healthcare, Sequatchie three times and I visited a resident there. I'd been into the room, and I had walked the hallways. I met with somebody, she talked with me, and we did a quick tour. During the first visit, I visited a church member there and they have private rooms. It looks like a hospital room a little bit like because my friend had a hospital bed. But they were spacious, and they all had windows and a courtyard. It was a very nice facility, and it was off the main road, like a little side street off in Dunlap. It was a brick building and looked in very good repair. When I went the second time, I walked through the facility and just kind of walked around. They do have some activities, but basically, it's completely locked down. Nobody goes in or goes out without ringing the bell. It's a very secure facility, and you can take your family member out, but there pretty much are times when they have to be in their room. It's a more controlled environment. I don't think it's bad, especially because they have a lot of dementia patients there and incapable of getting around by themselves. When you come out of the hospital, often they will take you in to recover. This is what one lady was doing. She had had surgery in a hospital, and she was there for recovery. I wanted a more extensive tour, so I made another appointment, and I went back. When I got to the door, they wouldn't let me in, and they said, "Well, sorry, ma'am, you have to have a mask on." This was just like a few months ago, and I thought the mask mandate was lifted a long time ago. I said, "I don't have a mask, sorry." Then I looked in and there were not even people in there with a mask on. This lady came to the door with a mask and said, "Sorry, ma'am. You have to have a mask on." There was one lady who was at the front desk with a mask on who said it's mandated again, but I haven't heard that. It's like hospital-clean, there's no carpeting. It's more like a hospital than a nursing home, but I didn't get the grand tour. That was just a bad experience. I plan on sending my father there and I think they are an upscale facility, especially for Dunlap. I think they're $9000 a month, they're very expensive, but most of the people there are on government care. I'm not so happy I had one bad experience, but I don't think it affects my view of them. I think I would still give them a five, I just think they could have handled it better. The lady who stopped me at the door could have gotten the other lady that I was looking at the previous tour with and we could have gone outside. I just felt like I missed that opportunity, and maybe I didn't handle it well and I just left. When I asked for that other lady, the staff at the door said she was on a tour and I said I had an appointment. When somebody else came, they took her first. I'm just thinking, my appointment didn't matter because of that. I just felt like they didn't handle it well, and they could do better. I'm not holding it against them that they have that one person and that they're disorganized a little. Their facility is 15 to 20 minutes from my house, and the facility where my father is right now is 45 minutes away."

"Rooms vary in size at different price points with upgrades offered prior to moving in. Food is good some days, decent others with some bad days. The full time staff there is wonderful and truly do know their residents but, like all facilities, Alexian has been hit with the post-covid staffing shortages. What really warmed my heart was learning that so many staff members stayed day and night during a recent snowstorm to make sure my loved one was taken care of. God bless the workers at Alexian for taking time away from their families to make sure my family member had the care she needed."
