My dad stayed in Holiday Retirement Home Inc for rehab. He had physical and occupational therapy. According to them, he had speech therapy, but I never saw them. I liked the therapy department, the PT, and the OT. I saw them doing some really good balance work. I said he uses a cane, and they tried him with the cane. They listen very well. They let us say what we saw from home versus there. My dad ended up with the sores because the staff didn't change him enough. He's a wanderer, but they put him in a recliner with 6 or 7 other people in the room and put on a TV with no volume, which was their activity. Once a week, they have an entertainer or music. He was not asked to go when they did bingo because he'd get up and walk. I understand they couldn't care for him there, but there was nothing they could do in the unit; they just sat. The cleanliness was very, very good. The structures are nice and open. It's like a big circle, and you can't get lost. There's always somebody there who would help you figure out which unit because there are four different units. The staff was nice, but they didn't have enough.

My mother has been a resident just 1 week now. Everyday I leave from visiting, I feel better and happier that she is at Holiday. The whole staff from maintenance to head of admissions and in between have been amazing. Everyone makes it feel more like home Everyday and I sleep easily at night knowing my mother is in good hands.

This nursing home is extremely clean and the staff are all very friendly. The residents here are all treated like family. There are many activities such as dancing, parties, movies, and bingo. There is a lobby for residents to hang out, meet new people, and watch television. There are also different events that go on, such as talent shows. There are also religious services provided. There is a cute pond outside and some friendly cats. The staff is determined to meet everyone's needs and keep everyone happy. My mother worked here for over 25 years and if she could still work there today, she would. I always found her with photos of her patients, and buying them gifts around the holidays or on their birthdays. Most people worry about putting there family in a nursing home and the care that they will receive. I assure you, they will be very happy at The Holiday.
