I toured Phoebe Apartments. In the apartments that we looked at, there is a stove and a full-size refrigerator, which makes it very convenient for shopping. They have people who bring food in there to buy. The vegetable place comes once a week, and then they have another one who comes twice a month to make food purchases very easy for you. They had a phone number where we could call if there was something special we wanted. The only thing I saw that was a little bit of a problem, but not major, is they don't provide transportation. You have to have your own transportation. It was beautiful. The person who took us around showed us the different ways to get to where we're going. You can do your own laundry there, but you have to pay for it. It's a machine where you have to put coins in. We were very satisfied with the place. When I toured it, I was with a person who is inclined to ask more questions than I am. They are good questions, and the staff was perfectly willing to take time to answer them. She did not hurry us on the tour. She gave us time to look and to orient us to where we could park our car and where we could pull in if we were to unload it, which would be the most convenient location for the particular room that she was showing us. She was very sociable and very knowledgeable. We really were very pleased. Everything was really nice and clean, and you could see the floors were well taken care of. The rooms we were in were neat and orderly. When we were in the community room, you were made to feel comfortable there with the little library, the TV, and the shelf that had games, activities, and card games. She told us that there was a posted paper showing what activities they have. She said, "Of course, when you're here, we will give you your own personal copy for your room."
