"We toured Fox Hollow Independent & Assisted Living Community. You can be independent and have some services come to you, but they don't have kitchens. The staff was very nice. We couldn't be happier with that. It's probably a wonderful place for people who need it, but it just didn't fit our needs."

"We toured Regency Village at Bend. We liked the administrator who talked with us. She was very accommodating in everything and even said that we might not be ready there yet. We liked everything about it, but the accommodations didn't fit us. The facility was very clean. The room sizes were small, though they had different sizes. They even had two bedrooms, but the fact they didn't have a kitchen kind of ruled it out for us."

"I went to Carriage Place Memory Care. I think that from what I saw, it was very nice. Adequate. Everyone that I had contact with was very friendly and went about their work. I really didn't see any regular rooms. I saw a double room where there would be two people occupying it, but I didn't see a single room. I believe they had a nice large, lounging recreational area for people to gather. And, they also had a puzzle and craft area, which was nice. I think it was OK. They had a TV area also. It was very clean, and they had a beautiful courtyard with flowers and tables and chairs, and places to sit outside, and it was very beautiful. The whole building surrounded it, so nearly every room could be seen out into the courtyard. So it was very nice. The administrator who took me around was nice, manageable, and OK."

"My mom is at Countryside Living Redmond. I think they're great. It's a very nice, warm, loving place for her. The facilities are really, really, really nice. They look like a lodge, so it's very homey. The accommodations are a shared room. There's a wall that the room is shared, so it's semi-private. The bathroom is shared on the outside. They have around 25 residents. They have a childcare onsite that is right next door to the senior living so the seniors can watch the kids play and stuff during the day, which is really, really nice. They have spa for things like hair and nails, and they have tons of daily activities. They have a bus, and sometimes they'll go on outings. They have a small garden so they can do some gardening. They have a very secure outdoor facility so they can walk around outside. They have lots of games and they bring in music sometimes. Outside vendors will come in and do activities with them sometimes. There are tons of stuff to do. The staff are very nice, very warm, and very loving. There's not a lot of turnover or there hasn't been, so that's really nice. The building is absolutely gorgeous. It's very, very expensive."

"My mother-in-law is in Juniper Springs Senior Living. It's excellent. The staff is excellent and professional. If my mom would go to an assisted living place, I definitely would send her there. I have never tried their food. I just heard excellent things about their food. They have everything from assisted living to memory care and it's all really incredible. They have some independent living as well from my understanding. They have all kinds of activities. I've never been on their activities, but I've seen them. The activities director seems to definitely know what the elderly want. In comparison to the other places, they're definitely an excellent facility."

"Ashley Manor - Rimrock appears clean and well organized. It's a little small, but that's what they were looking for for my stepmom, so that's what we chose. The service has been fine. We do have one issue that's going on, but they are trying to address that for us. I've seen the residents do coloring sheets. Some of the residents enjoy it and some of them don't."

"I can't say enough good things about Whispering Winds. The apartments are beautiful. The entire facility is immaculate (that is really important to me). The food is outstanding. The dining room is elegant. The staff in every part of the building seems to enjoy working here. They are unfailingly polite, smiling and helpful. There are activities to interest just about everybody. The fitness classes are one of the most important things to me. I was excited to learn that a personal trainer is available to me just because I live here. Well - that's enough, but as I said in the beginning, I can't say enough good things. "

"Mom's been at Ashley Manor for about two months now. I like that it is a smaller facility. I know they have some private and semi-private rooms; they are not really a good size, though. They don't really have any activities there. They have an activity board, but they never do any of the activities. They have a great living room. Most of the staff has been very helpful. Just like in any place, there are a few people you like the best, but overall they have been good. They cook all the food in their own kitchen, so I am pleased with the meals overall. I'd say they are well-balanced. I think that they can improve by hiring more staff. I think their staff has too much to do to really engage the clients in very meaningful activities. They are working very hard, but they are busy just taking care of the basics. They really don't have a lot of enrichment. "

"The tour experience at East Cascade Retirement Community was good. The people seemed friendly. The facility seemed clean. From what we saw from the food that was being served, it looked like it was homemade and not processed stuff. We were there for 45 minutes, and from what we saw, we thought it looked pretty good. We looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. They covered all the assisted living services, like bathing, toileting, and dressing. It looked like they had a garden that you could plant. You could dine in your room, or you could dine in the dining room. They would tailor menus according to diet. They have activities. They have a bus that would take people to places if they needed to. There were a variety of things to choose from."

"Awbrey Place Assisted Living and Memory Care was very cute. They had specific activities for people with memory issues. The director was very congenial, very sincere, and seemed like a very caring person. There wasn't anything that I didn't like. It was smaller than most, well-decorated, and seemed to be very clean. I smelled some of the urine a little bit, which bothered me, but it could have just been the day that I was there. I looked at both assisted living and memory care. They had a small but very nice garden area with trees. I liked that it's right down the street from the hospital and most doctors."

"Beautiful facility, the rooms are large and my mom had her own bathroom and shower. The menu always had 2 main options so she always found something she liked to eat. The therapy team was great and worked wonders on my mom. All the nurses were so caring and answered all of our questions."

"We chose to move my parents to Touchmark at Pilot Butte because the services they offer are complete and everything is available there. Also, the fact that they have in-home care within the facility available for a lower rate than you would pay an outside company. Their living space is beautiful. It's practically brand new. It's gorgeous. The food is excellent. The staff is wonderful. They are very helpful and always available. It's very clean."

"Everything we have experienced so far has been good at Bend Villa. The staff is helpful. She has got a 2-bedrooom unit with a living area, a very small kitchen, and a nice bathroom. It’s homey. The food is very good, and they’ve got quite a few activities like arts and crafts, movies, cards, and happy hour once in a while. The location is good, and the fact that mom has had friends that have stayed there before is good. "

"Caring staff! great attentive therapists! (ask for Tony) Super care team! I can only think of kind words and praise for this place. My husband has recovered wonderfully after a painful surgery. the staff there treated us with respect. And always made sure my husband was comfortable, if it was a pain pill, an extra pillow, a cold pack, even once a card game to try to distract him! they all work so hard but always had a smile and a kind hello! We truly recommend this facility! "
