"Fox Hollow offers assisted living and independent living. The staff who gave us the tour was very informative and friendly. They have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. They also have a courtyard."

"My in-laws are settling in just fine at Regency Village at Bend. The price is better than any other place. They're definitely the most reasonable. The rooms are tiny, but they're clean, and everything looks awesome. It is excellent. What we like the best is the availability of food. The residents can pretty much eat whenever they want. We really like the people. We love their staff. However, their activities are not consistent."

"I went to Carriage Place Memory Care. I think that from what I saw, it was very nice. Adequate. Everyone that I had contact with was very friendly and went about their work. I really didn't see any regular rooms. I saw a double room where there would be two people occupying it, but I didn't see a single room. I believe they had a nice large, lounging recreational area for people to gather. And, they also had a puzzle and craft area, which was nice. I think it was OK. They had a TV area also. It was very clean, and they had a beautiful courtyard with flowers and tables and chairs, and places to sit outside, and it was very beautiful. The whole building surrounded it, so nearly every room could be seen out into the courtyard. So it was very nice. The administrator who took me around was nice, manageable, and OK."

"My mom is at Countryside Living Redmond. I think they're great. It's a very nice, warm, loving place for her. The facilities are really, really, really nice. They look like a lodge, so it's very homey. The accommodations are a shared room. There's a wall that the room is shared, so it's semi-private. The bathroom is shared on the outside. They have around 25 residents. They have a childcare onsite that is right next door to the senior living so the seniors can watch the kids play and stuff during the day, which is really, really nice. They have spa for things like hair and nails, and they have tons of daily activities. They have a bus, and sometimes they'll go on outings. They have a small garden so they can do some gardening. They have a very secure outdoor facility so they can walk around outside. They have lots of games and they bring in music sometimes. Outside vendors will come in and do activities with them sometimes. There are tons of stuff to do. The staff are very nice, very warm, and very loving. There's not a lot of turnover or there hasn't been, so that's really nice. The building is absolutely gorgeous. It's very, very expensive."

"My mother-in-law is in Juniper Springs Senior Living. It's excellent. The staff is excellent and professional. If my mom would go to an assisted living place, I definitely would send her there. I have never tried their food. I just heard excellent things about their food. They have everything from assisted living to memory care and it's all really incredible. They have some independent living as well from my understanding. They have all kinds of activities. I've never been on their activities, but I've seen them. The activities director seems to definitely know what the elderly want. In comparison to the other places, they're definitely an excellent facility."

"Ashley Manor - Rimrock appears clean and well organized. It's a little small, but that's what they were looking for for my stepmom, so that's what we chose. The service has been fine. We do have one issue that's going on, but they are trying to address that for us. I've seen the residents do coloring sheets. Some of the residents enjoy it and some of them don't."

"My mom will be moving into Whispering Winds in January. It was very lovely and very welcoming. There were a lot of common areas. There's a barber shop and a beauty shop. There's a gift shop. The dining room is large and looks like its restaurant quality. It's open at least 12 hours a day, and many of the other places we toured had only limited set hours. I worked with two different people. The marketing director was out ill, and so there were two other people that I worked with, both of whom were lovely. One gave the tour and the other I met with to sign the rental agreement. And then I've also spoken with the marketing director over the phone when she came back from being sick just to arrange for my mom to be able to spend some time getting to know the facility a little bit better. All of those people were just terrific. They have a movie theater, they have a crafts room, they have a room where they play cards or other games. They often have musicians come in and perform. They have a breakfast bar in the morning with fruits and yogurts. At noon, they have a fresh salad bar. And this is in addition to a full menu, quite an extensive menu, larger than I've seen at any of the other places we visited. It outshone the others that I saw. And in talking to people around town, the comment that has come back to me is, "Oh, I know someone who lives there. They're very happy." The facility was very clean with very wide halls. I also liked that there was a gym and someone would design a customized program, whether it was exercise or whether it's balance. One-on-one would be available as a trainer. "

"Mom's been at Ashley Manor for about two months now. I like that it is a smaller facility. I know they have some private and semi-private rooms; they are not really a good size, though. They don't really have any activities there. They have an activity board, but they never do any of the activities. They have a great living room. Most of the staff has been very helpful. Just like in any place, there are a few people you like the best, but overall they have been good. They cook all the food in their own kitchen, so I am pleased with the meals overall. I'd say they are well-balanced. I think that they can improve by hiring more staff. I think their staff has too much to do to really engage the clients in very meaningful activities. They are working very hard, but they are busy just taking care of the basics. They really don't have a lot of enrichment. "

"The tour experience at East Cascade Retirement Community was good. The people seemed friendly. The facility seemed clean. From what we saw from the food that was being served, it looked like it was homemade and not processed stuff. We were there for 45 minutes, and from what we saw, we thought it looked pretty good. We looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. They covered all the assisted living services, like bathing, toileting, and dressing. It looked like they had a garden that you could plant. You could dine in your room, or you could dine in the dining room. They would tailor menus according to diet. They have activities. They have a bus that would take people to places if they needed to. There were a variety of things to choose from."

"I toured Awbrey Place Assisted Living and Memory Care. It's excellent. It's very good. It's pleasant. The rooms are nice and accommodating. They have nice windows, and you can look out there, meaning out in a nice backyard, and it's like in a circle. It's designed well. Expert staff and friendly staff. The rooms are handy with all the things you need in it (at least the one we picked), and it will be easy to access. There's plenty of activities going on so that my husband can make friends easily and be comfortable. The staff members are very qualified people who know what they're doing in all levels of care."

"Beautiful facility, the rooms are large and my mom had her own bathroom and shower. The menu always had 2 main options so she always found something she liked to eat. The therapy team was great and worked wonders on my mom. All the nurses were so caring and answered all of our questions."

"We will be moving into Touchmark at Pilot Butte. Just everything about it is a five. They have 90,000 square feet of common space. There's a gym with state-of-the-art equipment and a full-time trainer. There are social activities and stuff. It's just a very high-end place. We're fortunate to be able to afford to live there. The food is outstanding. You ordered off a menu and the preparation of the food was excellent. The service was good. The staff was very efficient. We enjoyed talking to the relocation counselor or whatever she's called. She's been very attentive. This is just one of those places where you walk in the front and then you go, "Wow, this is beautiful." You can tell that everybody cares about what they're doing there."

"This small little community is such a gift. So many smiles and joy on the residents' faces. They have a lovely courtyard with a view of Pilot Butte, which also has some nice hiking trails and benches for picnics with family. They also have a wonderful security system in place for the safety of your loved one. These people truly care about the well-being of their residents."

"Caring staff! great attentive therapists! (ask for Tony) Super care team! I can only think of kind words and praise for this place. My husband has recovered wonderfully after a painful surgery. the staff there treated us with respect. And always made sure my husband was comfortable, if it was a pain pill, an extra pillow, a cold pack, even once a card game to try to distract him! they all work so hard but always had a smile and a kind hello! We truly recommend this facility! "
