"I have a friend who is a long term resident at the Laurels. She is the happiest she has been in years. Great care. Can’t say enough good things about the staff that takes care of her. She has a large privat room that she has set up as a “little apartment”. Loves going to bingo and has actually Gained some needed weight since she has been there. I would recommend to anyone needing placement for a loved one."

"Assisted Living at Lucy Corr Village is very nice and clean. They have very nice activities, physical therapy, 24-hour nurses, doctor on-call 24/7. Mom has her own room, her own shower and bathroom. The food was nice, too. They have a choice of what they want to eat. They provide three meals a day and they can have them in the room, if they want to. They play bingo twice a week, art classes, concerts, somebody comes on Sundays and sings hymns and stuff. They even had line dance one night and I thought that was cute. They have different stuff and it's nice. "

"I'll be moving to Lakewood Manor in two years when the new building is done. It was wonderful. They have a large community with over 200 residents, including single homes and apartments, and they're working on some new construction, which is what I'll be in. It is continuing care. Most are apartment-type units and there are different sizes available. They have many different activities. It's a faith community, specifically Baptist. The food is excellent and the facility is excellent. I've put down a 10% deposit and I will move in within 2 to 2-1/2 years."

"My mom is in Beth Sholom. We chose it because they are caring. They care for the elderly. They are compassionate for these people. They treat my mom better than the other place she has stayed. They have all kinds of activities. They are involved in everything. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have snack bars for them. Everybody is friendly. They take them out all the time. They take them to the bank, the post office, or wherever they want to go. They will take my mother to her doctor's appointments. They have a rec room where they do their activities. The luncheon there is great. It is just a wonderful place. "

"My mother is in Tyler's Retreat at Iron Bridge. I have no problems with the staff. They seem to be very knowledgeable. She's only there for rehab, so they have been working her through physical therapy and making her eat, cause she'd lost a significant amount of weight. It's been very, very clean, very tidy. It's been COVID, so it's been very difficult to visit loved ones in that situation. And I find that the rules changed quite often on how that worked, but other than that, it was fine. Her room is very large, single occupancy, her own bathroom, very tidy, very clean."

"My father was in Beaufont for rehab and it was pretty good. The staff was friendly and our answered questions. The facility was always clean, it did not smell bad, and they made sure the bedroom was cleaned every day. The dining area was okay."

ENVOY at the Meadows in Goochland, VA made the admission process very smooth and provided care to my mother that truly exceeded my expectations. My mother said that all of the staff were nice, friendly and attentive. My mother also stated that she enjoyed the activities (especially BINGO) and that she wants to return to ENVOY if I have to go out of town again. "My dad was at Our Lady of Hope Health Center, and it was not a good experience. It was beautiful to look at, and the furnishings were lovely, but they were very understaffed. The place was not very clean. "

"Heritage Hall Dillwyn is a very nice facility. It's very well kept up. The people are fantastic. They are very friendly and very helpful. They keep me informed of what's going on with my wife. They have bingo and some singing activities. They charge too much though, and that's just my opinion."
